Garrison is an obvious choice, been to the championship game and could've beaten Celina two years ago and despite a couple of tough losses, Corrigan will challenge again... They get it going in November. Sleeper is San Augustine... Athletic.

I'll say Comfort because they're the only 2A team I know of that's any good.

It'll be a close one! Comfort doesn't know how to throw the ball so if Celina has good run D it'll go to Celina, but if they don't I'm going to say Comfort!!!

Why would I take Pilot Point? I thought that this was between Celina and Comfort for the state championship.

Tom Bean, cool name, and really good RB.

However my roommate is from Whitewright, their rival.

Probably two of the best teams will be Garrison in the Div. II. and Comfort in Div. I. The sleepers in this class, I think are McGregor and San Augustin in DI and Hemphill in DII. I don't think last year's champions in either division, ie. Corrigan & Rosebud-Lott, stand a chance this years playoffs.

I know Crane is undefeated so far, and some polls have them ranked pretty high.

I, for one, saw them play a few weeks ago and wasn't all that impressed.

Maybe I am just jaded when it comes to teams lower than 3A!!! wink

San Augustine is good, not great, but a solid sleeper. Hemphill isn't going to make the playoffs. Corrigan will make a run.(They lost to Hemphill last year and barely beat Leon last year---that's there losses this year). But Garrison is going to be tough to beat.

Dawgfan, I agree that Garrison will be the team to beat in this classification. However, I do wonder about your comment that McGregor is not a sleeper. They are a solid ball team with some good talent. They had a let down last week and I think the kids in McGregor underestimated Franklin which is also a solid team this year. I think the loss was probably the best thing that could happen to them at this time and the coaching staff will do a much better job maintaining their focus. I think those guys will be more focused and will surprise teams that may underestimate them.

Garrison, though, will be the real test, in my opinion.
