Since I've been gone a couple weeks, I'll take this opportunity to share some random thoughts:

High school:

My team, West columbia got our asses kicked by WO-S. Plain and simple. We improved this year but we still weren't ready for that next level. Congrats to the mustangs on that win. That said, WC's entire skill group is coming back including that beast soph RB... Dakarius bell... Remember the name. WC will be MUCH improved next year....

I've had an opportunity to see Fairfield twice in the playoffs so far. No disrespect to Sinton, but I knew they had their hands full last wknd. Fairfield has got the players to get it done and they execute extremely well.

Couldn't help but laugh at stephenville after all that talk. Good job Kilgore.

Was surprised to see LG get dominated. Carthage must be crazy good. I expect them to win next week.

Can't believe Refugio beat Rogers... They don't deserve to be playing for state. Smh.

Oh and I've got my hotel booked. See y'all in Dallas next Thursday. Really looking forward to seeing the Falls City RB and go Yoe!

College:

Florida st is stupid good. They'll win next week. Auburn is the luckiest team I've ever seen. I don't think it'll even be close. Hate to say it cuz it's SEC... But I'm just keepin it real.

Speaking of which... Have you guys seen how DEEP the big 12 is??? I'm amazed.

Seriously... I tried to tell you guys Baylor wasn't all that... They're good... But not elite IMO. That said... They got screwed with the bowl matchup. And seriously... Generally speaking, these bowl game matchups suck.

A&M... Disappointing year. Awful defense. I went to the LSU game and say through miserable weather to watch Johnny truly suck that game.

Glad sumlin got an extension. Bout time Mack left... Y'all hornies will get a good coach though. Too much prestige not to.

NFL: what can I say about my texans... We're awful. Kubiak is gone... No choice there really. Please please draft Johnny :)

MLB: my Astros are on the move! Watch out American League!

I'm actually not convinced they'll get blown out. Never know which longhorn team will show up. And with it being Mack's last game, they'll probably play hard. That said, I still think ducks win.

lol unless Houston plans on trading down, picking Manziel is a terrible terrible idea. You've got to go Bridewater, Clowney, or Barr with the #1 pick. I wouldn't be against Manziel if we trade down & end up with two first round picks, though.

you could take Matthews from ATM as your #1 as well... that makes your oline 100 times better as you will two of the best tackles in the league... with Mettenberger and Murray being hurt, their draft stock will drop and you can get one of them in the 3rd round... if you go Clowney, since Antonio Smith is prolly gone at year end, then your d line is very good... I think Matthews or Clowney are the pick

Going back to the Texans draft pick.....I hate Houston completely, but I think taking Bridgewater would be a big mistake. I think Matthews is really the only safe pick there. They may even trade down if they do want Manziel. McShay has Manziel going fourth overall in his first mock draft, behind Bridgewater and Blake Bortles. So I think if they could trade down to maybe the Raiders spot that would be ideal.
