A victim of the Monster he created. Brown is a good man and coach. Not a horn fan..but he was good for not only the Horns but for the state.

question now is what happens to Mad Dog?

Welcome to the ADD society coach Brown. It's not about the young men anymore.

My brother says Mack oughta apply for a job with Cowboys or the Texans....said either one's the next best-paying Circus around, haha. Trouble is....they may just find a spot for him, LOL.

Welcome to the ADD society coach Brown. It's not about the young men anymore.

Give me a freaking break with this crap. Brown is paid 5 million a year to coach football. For that kind of change you better get more than 2 conference titles. In 2011 Mack pointed to 2013 as the year they wil be back to the top so 2013 comes and we aren't no where near the top. That falls on him. The issue actually started after the 2005 MNC season. They got complacent with recruiting and just relied on services. They could have cleaned up on the recruiting trail after that season even more so than they did. The zone read could have evolved further but they went away recruiting for that. 2009 Texas loses the MNC so Mack does an overhaul on the program and wants to go to a power run game because he saw what Nick Saban did with it. 2 years later that wasn't working well so he wants to go to a up tempo spread type offense well that didn't work either. He has no idea how to fix the issue so good riddance.

Last 4 years

30-20 Overall
18-17 in conference play
vs Ranked Teams: 5-14
vs Oklahoma: 1-3
vs Baylor: 1-3
vs Oklahoma State 1-3
vs Kansas St 1-3

Years in which Texas lost 4 games by 19 or more points:

1956
2013

Texas has never lost 5 games by 19 or more points in 1 season. Mack Brown could set that record in the Bowl game.

Mack has a 28 year coaching career with ONLY 2 conference titles.

You can't forget those beat downs by OU either.

Oh yeah Mack is the first coach in UT history to have four straight 4 loss seasons.

With budgets like this, it takes winning to keep the ship afloat.

Whatever OT. We all know he was an injured QB away from 2 National Championships. Yes, the last 4 years have been bad but every program has their down time. They'll be asking for Saban's head before you know it. You don't have to like Brown and are free to criticize all you want but you are stupid if you don't see what Brown brought to the UT program. He is one of the main reasons why it is once again, a coveted coaching position.

All of I spoke of was the complacency they had after the first MNC game with recruiting which led to these four yaers.

Yes Mack brought Texas back but now it's time to bring a coach in to take them the next level.
