Seen a few guys from 247 Sports tweeting that Brown's future will be decided within the next 48 hours. What do you Longhorn fans want?

I have nothing but respect for what Mack has accomplished at Texas but I think he knows when it's time to move on , I do think he will decide to move on to another school. He will go out on his terms, with a **** pot of money.

Not trying to turn this into another Stephenville thread, but Mack's OC (Applewhite) has been at the last two Stephenville games. If they want Stidham so bad, how come Mack hasn't been there?
FWIW....Briles and his OC were there last night too.

Do you really think Stidham goes anywhere but Baylor? Baylor OC is a class act

He may end up going there but if anyone in town says they know he is going to Baylor, they are lying to you. He is playing it pretty close to the vest on where he is leaning.

Not sure the exact number but that sounds about right. It's extremely low considered he has almost $40 million left on his contract. So I he probably won't walk about with a boat load of cash.

I thought the same thing. Seems like a small buy out considering the current contract.

The way Texas does things they already have his replacement.

I think Stidham is waiting to see who is the coach at Texas. We won't know his decision for sure until NSD unless Jarrett changes his mind.

Yeah, Houston's 610 Sports Radio just sent out a text reporting that he stepped down.

Lol. I just heard that it isn't true and that Mack is in Florida recruiting. Who really knows. Sounds like a lot of confusion in Longhorn land.

“I’m in Florida recruiting. If I had decided to step down I sure wouldn’t be killing myself down here,” Brown told 247Sports.com. “I have not decided to step down.”

If this is his real take, he'll be fired soon then.

Mack Brown is denying he is stepping down because its not official yet. His buyout needs Board approval. Board of Regents meets Thursday.

They also denied Dodd's was retiring. This is how the media and the bigger entity works.

Mack Brown's contract provides that if he resigns he's not entitled to buyout, doesn't state how finances work upon retirement.

I don't think he stays in Texas period. I see Oregon if they want him.

Ville, I have no idea what his final decision will be, but, I can say that if he continues to develop the skills he already has, he could be a future Heisman type player. He has the size, drive, and intelligence to make people around him better.
