Thursday, Refugio vs. Waskom, 7:30

Friday, Stratford vs. SA Brennan, 7:30

Saturday, Calhoun vs. Brenham, noon
Saturday, Katy vs. SA Johnson, 4PM
Saturday, ???? 8PM (Hope one of todays winners plays in this spot)

Will be nice to see games in short sleeves again. :p

I can see R4 getting 3 teams onward to state out of this batch (Refugio, Brennan, Calhoun) of good games at the dome. Other R4 teams I think have a very good chance in advancing is Falls City, Shiner, Yoe and LaGrange.

That's 7 out of 10 state games being played next weekend I predict will have a R4 team participating. More than half could win it all too. Not too bad for a region hardly given respect.

I'll make the Thursday and Saturday games at Reliant. Friday, I'll be in Mansfield for the best match up of the week IMO, in LaGrange vs. Carthage. Then, onward to Jerry's World. Best time of the year for a Texas high school football fan. Our state has certainly become a producer of some fine entertainment. Best wishes to all playing this week. Go R4!!!!!

Having all the state games at one location, certainly makes it nice for the fan of the game.:thumbsup:

I think the UIL brass, will be evaluating Reliant here, for possibly being in the mix to host these games one day. They have that new video board up yet? I know it's suppose to be the biggest. Can't believe one can get larger than the one at JW's. How many year agreement does the UIL/Jones have to host the state games? Shame SA don't upgrade their dome to even be in consideration. With the dome's location in the Alamo City, sure makes it appealing to the fan. Walking distance from the riverwalk/bar's/restaurants and hotels, is the big plus.
