Basically the Navasota Rattlers will return 7 offensive starters including the entire skill positions except the number 1 running back.
On defense they will have 7 starters back but will lose all state lineman Wells. Couple that with about as many that played frequently on each side of the ball that will be back. Looking for good things next year.

Not sure on starters returning but I know according to the roster we have only 7 seniors leaving. we have 2 freshman, 6 sophomores and 15 juniors on the roster so we should be returning quite a bit. It will be interesting to see next year with dropping down a class!

East Texas Speed extends to new 3A-D1 & keep an eye out: Daingerfield (have 8 SC's & an old rival for us and Harmony Gilmer's Farm Club...there will be plenty of competition.

The number 1 running back D Randel is a Jr so that should be 8 on offense.

LH will be in good shape

Defense 6-7 returning starters
Offense - entire line returns, backs graduating, but hear we have several JV backs coming up with lots of speed and some of our defensive backs could be moved over to slide into varying back positions. Result - strong experienced LH team next year.

Have not seen the best of the Bears yet it appears. 2014, could be even more impressive. I see Bo stepping up his non-district competition other than Port Lavaca Calhoun this realignment. Maybe the likes of a Argyle, Stephenville type game? He'll travel anywhere for a game.

Alvarado 4/5..we had alot of moving parts..we lose the entire OL and TE to graduation...with the anticipated changes and move ups from strong JV and Freshman teams..next years team has potential to be eerily similar to the 2010 Indian team..its a wait and see..will be interesting...my son has been moved to defense, which has him fired up..he has set some lofty goals for himself this offseason..should be exciting 2014 for sure!!

Also, the Freshmen and JV teams were both undefeated. Navasota should be very good for the next few years.

Don't be surprised if you see a lot of Sophs (this years freshmen) with them. That's a group that gets better every year. They are talented and among the hardest working I have seen.

Nasty, nasty, nasty defense next year.
