I bet Wimberley is also, They just made 4A-DII with 672. I was hoping to get them in district for a couple more years before we hit 5A.

They lose a lot of talent of of this years squad. QB Gibbs, RB Brooks, OL Pelzel (Baylor), LB David (Baylor) are just a few. How did their sub-varsity fair? I believe the 8th grade class probably has the best talent coming up from what I've seen.

They should expand 4A up to about 1200 in the 2016-1018 alignment and distribute the additional schools by adjusting the numbers in both divisions of 3A and 4A.
Not for now, I like the looks of the numbers. The next alignment, my oldest will be s senior, don't want to bump classes his last year so 1200 will give LH enough cushion.

You can just look at the list of schools, as long as they are in order by their enrollment, and group them by 6.
As a trial, the UIL isn't doing districts based on their location for this realignment, districts will be solely based on enrollment numbers so that nobody has to play a school that has more than 100 students than they do to keep it all fair.

I can't believe how wide a range 5A is. WOW.
In terms of the ratio of smallest to largest enrollment within a classification, 4A (the old 3A) continues to have the widest spread, with the largest schools being up to almost 2.3 times larger than the smallest. I guess there just aren't enough schools scattered around in the right places, but the new 4A and 5A (the old 3A and 4A) probably should be in three classifications, not just two.

I wonder why we have 4A, Div1...Div 2...etc...why do they just not have 1A, 2A,...10A, or Div1, Div 2, Div3...

Poor scoop. He'll be the first to know. He once covered the realignment for the Podunk Post in 1950.
