...and then there were 8. Two rematches coming up next week with Chapel Hill vs Kilgore and LaGrange vs Gonzales. Kilgore (41-25) and LaGrange (48-19) won in the first games.

Rematches are always hard, in 2008 Everman just donkey stomped us in district 56-3, we met them in the QF and they had to scored with under 2 min to beat us 27-24.

Agreed... in '86 Jasper knocked us off in district 21-8 then we beat them in the Quarterfinals 21-15 to go on and win state
'98 we shut out Silsbee 17-0 and they came back and knocked off our #2 ranked team 21-20 in Bidistrict (#2 behind Stephenville or LaMarque?? Don't remember).

This is why I'm happy our scheduled non district game against Jasper in Week 3 this season got rained out.

Again in '06 and '07 we beat WF Rider in non-district only to get beat by them in the playoffs. Same thing in '11 we beat the back to back SC Aledo in the opener and got dominated by them in the QF. I hate same season rematches. Sville has not fared well in them.

This will be the second one for the Leps this playoff run. Canyon Lake 50-8 round 2 and 48-28 game 4 and now Gonzales 48-19 week 5 and now in the quarter finals. Both teams have improved but the Leps are the better all around team and will get the win but it will be a tough game.
