I thought sweeny would make a better run. Had them beating fairfield this round.

I wish we could of done that too, but from 3-7 to 8-4 I won't complain too much.

West Columbia? I haven't followed them closely since I moved away, but I expected better than the record we ended up with.

To answer the question correctly, I'd have to vote for the Bellville Brahmas. "What eliminated team was expected to do the most?" I believe they were expected to go very deep in the playoffs this season, and that just didn't happen. I also think Celina was highly touted to do well this season, and that didn't happen at all. LaMarque....I'm not sure they did any more than expected. Same for Alvarado and maybe Wimberley. Kennedale was always one of those teams kinda on the fence.

Injuries killed them. Not enough depth to overcome.

Whichever team loses tomorrow night between Gilmer/Argyle. Both fan bases have high expectations and one good team is going home.

Celina for me. I really expected more but they were hard hit by injuries for sure. A lot of underclassmen got valuable playing time this year. A lot of teams would take a 9-2 season though. There is always next year.

Argyle may be looking at a season like that next year, I dunno. Those sophs that got so much playing time this year may come together and do pretty good. You just never know with the injuries that could happen. It does take a good bit of good luck, as opposed to bad luck, to just get to a regional final.

Alvarado could never get a viable passing game going..which of course made a good running game vulnerable, resulting in inconsistent offensive rythem..giving opposing offenses more opportunities..I expect great improvement next year .
