One more week until the start of district 6-3a. Should be a very competitive district. Clyde has had a rough start and some key players injured but we are going to use our open week to get those people healthy and make some finishing touches on both sides of the ball and start getting ready for a though district opener against Wylie.

ClydeWR35, it's been a rough start, but I still see a lot of potential there and haven't written off the season yet. It's the games from now on that count. Good luck!!!

District 6 faces tough competetion in opening round of the playoffs. Food for thought.

District 5 AAA
Childress 5-0
Graham 4-1
Breckenridge 4-1
Vernon 3-1
Iowa Park 3-1
Bowie 1-4

The top four teams have played 23 games collectively and only lost 4. Two of the 4 were to 4A teams.

This district is up for grabs.

competetion will be tough once we get out of district, but the competetion will be just as tough in district. the top three spots could go to anyone

I feel sorry for Clyde....They are catching a pissed off Wylie team on a 3 game losing streak.

How did Childress get so good. Have they had an easy schedule?

Childress did a couple of things:

1. The scheduled several 2A teams and have beaten them very convincingly. (Builds confidence of the team)

2. They went to the spread this year. They have some tall good receivers and a very good QB. So I read in the paper that the coach changed his scheme to match his talent--smart move it appears. Childress has had good teams year in and year out.

I'll be keeping up with district 6 as there are some good teams in both districts.

Last year district 6 beat district 5, two to one.
