Ought to be a good game unless the Bears are still playing at the level they did on both sides of the ball against OU last week.

Nice opening scoring drive by Tech.

Tech 14-0. Looks like they came to play and the Bears have been reading their press clippings, so far.

This game has got it all. I think the announcers are gonna pee in their pants if this keeps up.

Is Tech ranked?

I think Baylor is one of the best overall conditioned teams I have seen in a long time. They run the field on every play with quick tempo execution and none of them seem to even breathe hard ---including the linemen.

Is Tech ranked?

They were early, but not since the 3 losses.

This game has a major bowl atmosphere and nonstop action. I switch it to one of the other 4 games going on and it's just not near as exciting to watch. The plays are one after the other in this one....a college football fan's vahalla.

Yep---more exciting plays in this one than in any game I can remember in a long time---and that's a while, folks...:D.

Tech's QB Mayfield is very impressive. Can you imagine how good they will be next season? Trey Keenan of Argyle is an OL there now, and Sadler and Wilson will be joining the team next year.

Keenan is a Fresh. this year and is #77. He's 6'6" 270. Joey White from Wimberley is a Jr. and is #74. He's listed at 6'4" 320. Both are OL's.

USC is leading 4th ranked Stanford in the 2nd 17-10 (halftime now)
Houston is playing #10 Louisville close at 20-13 in the 3rd.

Starting the 2nd half kickoff, Alabama kicks a short high one and the Mississipi State receiving player is hit very hard and high in an obvious helmet to helmet collision. How do the refs just totally ignore this blatant penalty in favor of Alabama. There was no question this hit was intended to hit the receiving player high. He was basically defenseless. And the announcers said nothing either, except it "looked to be a high hit". What a joke.

You know I've been thinking the last fews weeks I really haven't seen it called as much as the first two or three weekends.

Is there a player on the Baylor offense (besides #77) that isn't highly talented and very quick? They are just on a different plateau than most of the other teams in the nation. Tech is young, but ain't no slouch. They are a dangerous young club that will be very good in the next couple of years. Both of these teams look to be better than Texas and Okla. I don't know how Tech lost 3 in a row, but they do have some talent.

Tech "O" ain't slouchy....

Alabama getting all they can handle against Miss. State. 10-7. MS should be leading, but didn't convert from Alabama's 3.

What an offensive juggernaut Baylor is!!! Move over Oregon....Baylor is better on offense, no question.

You have to remember that Baylor is playing without Seastrunk, Reese, and another top offensive player. They are indeed deep.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:33 PM
Mayfield is impressive, but so is Petty for Baylor. Linwood is a very good athlete, and Baylor is just absolutely loaded on offense. The crazy thing is Tech is not that far removed from being in the same class as Baylor offensively. I'll say it again....how in the world this Tech team lost 3 in a row in beyond me.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:35 PM
I would have to put Petty's season ahead of that of Teddy Bridgewater, qb for Louisville, in the Heisman race at this point.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:38 PM
Stanford and USC knotted at 17 at end of 3rd. Bama up over Miss. State 20-7 in the 4th. 9 mins. left in that game.

I'd like to see him against a team who could put pressure on him and see how he reacts. Baylor's line gives him max protection and nobody even tries to blitz Baylor.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:43 PM
Baylor has a tough schedule remaining and will see teams that will blitz Petty. Okla St. and Texas are still left on the schedule. I forget who else.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:52 PM
USC just stopped Stanford's deep drive with a pick on their own 15 and returned to the 35. Now the Trojans have it at the 50.

Baylor could burn clock and probably win it, but are still running their offense like in the first half. Still 10 mins. left in the game, though.

Bullaholic
11-16-2013, 10:54 PM
Well,dang-- If they ain't going to score every minute, I'm going to change channels....:D

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:58 PM
Stanford has the ball now starting from their own 20. The game is still locked at 17 all with 6 mins. left.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 10:59 PM
That puts the nail in Tech's coffin for sure. Baylor is the real deal.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:01 PM
Bama in victory formation with a 20-7 win over Miss. State. It's over. Bama wins again, but looks beatable. MS qb went out and that hurt their chances, as well.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:04 PM
USC now with the ball on their own 35. They will have to punt it to Stanford with 3:45 left.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:07 PM
For those not aware, a loss by Stanford moves Baylor ahead of them in the BCS standings.

Roughneck93
11-16-2013, 11:08 PM
Huge pick for USC.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:10 PM
USC intercepts a tipped pass by Stanford and now the Trojans are trying to march down for the winning score with a little over 3 mins. left in the game.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:12 PM
4th and 2 at midfield. What will USC do???

I say they go for it. Why not try to beat these Cardinals on this play. 1:23 left is enough for Stanford to move in for a score.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:14 PM
Stanford passes for 10 yds and is now on the Stanford 35.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:16 PM
Baylor wins 63-34. Stanford advances to inside the Stanford 20 to win it on a field goal.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:18 PM
USC is going backward....now at the 33 of Stanford. May be getting out of field goal range. El stupidos.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:20 PM
Here comes the field goal try. It will be a 40 yarder with 25 secs. left.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:21 PM
It was a 45 yarder and it's GOOD!!!! The game isn't over YET, but Stanford is now losing with 19 secs. left.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:23 PM
The dummy Cardinal returner just burnt about 10 secs on that play.

regaleagle
11-16-2013, 11:24 PM
GAME OVER. USC upsets Stanford and Baylor is the beneficiary.....rightfully so.
