Sinton has shut down the run since against 5a Laredo LBJ.

Zapata has not had any luck against Sinton ever and against teams from the coastal bend.

just saw the stats on maxprep. 13 penalties and still got 500+ of total offense with 450 yards on the ground. The times and day of games for this upcoming round works out great to see 3 games that involve our district.

Congrats to Sinton qb Tyler Handson, he enters 2nd round game with 2018 yds and 29 tds on the ground and rb John Gabriel Guzman he's at 1030 yds with 11 tds. Congrats to their teammates that open the lanes for them to run through.

The Roster for Zapata listed at MaxPreps shows 14 or 15 of the hawks being over 200 pounds!! That's a lot of kid on the line of scrimmage.....

Sinton will have to tackle that's for sure..Defense has been showing they're getting better at making the stop at first contact. Good test coming up, their main rb has some speed and has the ability to break tackles. Saw Sinton missed some chances downfield on open receivers, passing game hasn't gotten on track this season yet.

He is a slippery little sucker. When first watching film of him he reminded me of our back from way back in the day, Julian Ruiz. Some say they are reminded of a young Keith Garcia. Either way we will have to make sure to wrap him up.

The calls in the lytle game were questionable at best. Seems like the refs were calling false starts before the line was set. Lytle had its share called too but no where near what Sinton had. And I would go by the San Pat paper stats.

PI will be playing their game there Friday and some fans have those "vuvuzelas". I still remember playing Marlin in the Alamo Dome and they had a train horn that was very loud and was used after every TD. That horn got annoying as Marlin scored often. Hope they don't take our horns away.

They won't take them away. They will ask you not to use them. My advice...print out Section 12.07 of the UIL rules and show them they are wrong! :)
