Can't blame him. He's got a good thing going right there at Baylor.

But the question is what are the Clauses that his Lawyers probably made sure were in this Extension and what did Baylor make sure they had in the Extension.

Doesn't matter a certain school can afford the buyout. If you are Art you sign that regardless to guarantee that price. That only extends his current deal 3 years anyway.

Here is a question.... Who is more likely to finish out their contract, Art or Mack?

Rumor is the buyout is $20 million, with further exclusions for in-state schools. Raises for entire staff and more facility construction. When all is said and done Art Briles will = Baylor football, with all due respect to Grant Teaff.

Probably the best thing that could ever happen to BU football. It automatically gives them the best coaching situation in the state. Kingsbury is unproven, Sumlin will leave IMO whether it's for USC or NFL and Mack is up in the air but he won't be there in 2-3 years. Baylor is on its way to having another great recruiting class and they won't end up being a hit wonder.

Never thought I'd say that.

Happy, Happy, Happy for Baylor.

Hollywood would remember this scene. He was on the other sideline in 1990. 10, 000 + for Brownwood /Ville that night
