Earlier today I was reading up on these teams, and looking at their stats. Am I the only one that feels as if the Steers are going down this week?
Watching some film right now and I just don't think Graham has played anyone? Cannot say the same for Castleberry; they are battle tested.

Y'alls thoughts?

Wouldn't surprise me. Graham isn't that good and will be exposed once they play real competition. Benefit of a weak region helps too.

Looking at the bracket for Graham, they have it so easy. They won't have a challenge till regional championship, probably against LH. That will be your toughest game. They will get it handed to them in the semi final, if they even make it by Argyle or Gilmer.

I just don't see Graham being able to run the ball. Being one dimensional against a tough squad like Castleberry is something you don't want to be. This game smells like upset, guys. Graham's offensive line looks small; they don't push off the line of scrimmage very well.

Graham will dominate this game. But their OL/DL will get exposed later in the season.

The D-Line is good. They will dominate this game and many more to come. The O-line have some faults but they have grown together and have played well lately.

I know your just doing a little fishing, but I will provide you with a little something. Grahams starting RB has over 1,800 all purpose yards and 20 rushing touchdowns.

Castleberry Football Stats by Game

Average Receiving Yards Per Game
6.9

Average Rushing Yards Per Game
262.2

My guess, Graham by 40+ and holds the dingleberrys to less than 100 yards of offense.

Do you think your defence can keep up with speedy #10? Or cover #7, 9, 17? I don't. Burks running game didn't confuse anything and from what I see on Film it's very similar.
The coaching staff in Graham is the best I've seen in a while also. They will have the players ready for anything thrown at them.

Graham has scored 490 points this year and gave up 111. The Lions have scored 180 and gave up 291. There is no way this GREAT LION defense can hang with the Steers!!! And there is no way the Steers give up very many points in this one!!!

May be a bold first post but I always look at these threads and graham is always an underdog in the playoffs no matter who they play. 09 they were underdogs and gave Carthage the best game in their 3 year state champ run, last year they were underdogs and lost to Gilmer who lost no one. Then this year they have showed their dominance. It may be a weak schedule but they have never showed weakness. Then tonight they continue and I bet they will be underdogs next week. I feel as if graham has a new rival every week in the playoffs cause everyone hates graham and it thrives them more. So it's nice to establish new rivals every week. It makes graham a more established 3A team

Tejastrue

Not everyone hates Graham. Nothing but respect for this program from a Wimberley fan.

Only met graham once and well it wasn't the best for wimberly but graham was still an underdog when they played them because y'all had Dennis smith. Not everyone hates graham I didn't mean that. But graham will always be an underdog no matter how good they are it seems like to me is what I meant

Argyle played Graham once in the playoffs when Case was the qb. We enjoyed the night. But we also understand Graham and what it's like to be an overachiever for our school size. It's hard work for the kids and all your competitors respect you with disdain.....not exactly complimentary. But yeah....Argyle respects Graham without disdain.

That game was also about 25 degrees and sleeting. I'm a graham fan don't get me wrong but it is true. Graham gets a new rival every week in playoffs just because they are supposed to lose, I hope to face argyle in the semis cause I believe it will be the best two teams in the state playing

So you remember that one too? I was there and it was cold and nasty. We mainly threw the ball with JJ Harp at the helm. He was the OC's son.

I'll second that. That would mean that we will have won our region, and beat "you know who", haha. And I feel that would be a very exciting game to watch. Graham's Davis against the great Argyle D. And Argyle's multiple offensive sets against the Steers D. It would be a wide-open game for sure.
