Yep. UIL should have issued an instruction manual or put on a clinic on "what to do playoff week 1..."

1. Order t- shirts
2. Check on buses
3. Line up a stadium.....,

Navarro beat SAM Houston in the 5th game 54-12 and called off the dogs early at home. Playoff is at home and after Canyon Lake got schooled in what the Slot T looks like ohh no!

They are? I guess maxpreps has it wrong. They are actually a lot better than Poteet, but they have fallen hard in two years. Sad, really.

Saying they are better than Poteet ain't much since the Strawberries have not scored a point since Sep. 27 and the only win for them was 1A Charlotte

I wish it would go back to one or two teams for playoffs. Safer for the players and District Championships would actually mean something again. Four teams is the equivalent to participation awards.

I'm sorry but I like it. More teams means more excitement and let's face it, there will always be a team that pulls the upset!! Playoffs baby!!

I think there should be a consolation bracket as well for those teams that get upset, so they can have a second chance. A Consolation Championship and a third Champion to 3A. The possibilities are endless!

Don't know why we can't have Junior high playoffs to at least the regionals? We can't leave them out!

I like your train of thought, we cannot forget about the elementary flag footballers either. Age should not be discriminated against!

On the flip side, what's the best record of a team that got left out?

In 32-4A Roma finished 6-4 and I was actually surprised they weren't in.

A Blowout game may result in a bullying claim by a disgruntled parent :)

Or on the flip side we may have a Texas Hoosier football story in the making this year! :tisk:
