I know its been talked about but what do yall think again the numbers will be for the new 4a d1 and d2. I've seen d2 number like 450 to 750 or something. Celina will be d2 for sure.

Looks like the Top of the new 4A will likely go down. How much? Not sure have to crunch some more numbers.

Or Abilene Wylie over 1000... Well now that the upper limit is going to be higher, they didn't have to shuffle as many kids. :D

If the top number comes down from 1050 (if that's what you're saying) and the bottom number remains at 450, I could see Gilmer in Division I (unfortunately, although many of our rivalries that have developed over the years are with teams in D1).

I just counted 164 schools from 1050 down to 450. Gilmer is the 82nd-ranked in enrollment out of 164 schools, by my count. That would make it the smallest school in D1 even with the current cutoff numbers.

I definitely have mixed feelings about this. It would be harder to continue the dynasty as a small school in D1, but the games would be much more competitive and entertaining for fans if the Bux went that route.

Above 723 or below 685. I don't care where the cutoff is I just hope its not in the middle.

I'm anxious to see what numbers the current (and growing) 2A DI schools in the region turn in.

Again, when is it the UIL will announce the alignments? I thought I remember it being this month instead of Feb.

They will release the official cutoff #'s in the last two weeks of November.

They will announce cutoff numbers right after Thanksgiving. From what I hear the numbers will be something like 460-700 and 701-1200 .
