Let me fix that for you. Giddings will beat Yoakum and go D1 against El Campo. Gonz. will have Sealy in the other D1 game. In D2 it will be LaGrange vs wharton and Cuero vs Bellville.

no its already been decided. Its Wilmer against Hutchins and thats it. Princeton must stay home! This will be the GOW in Reg II

The Region 2 divisions aren't even close in competition levels. Division 1 is a pure gauntlet across the board, with whoever makes it out having to face Stephenville just to make it to the show!

(not 3A warning) Stepp, with Aledo in DII, I don't see anyone testing them till maybe Whitehouse in the simis? What are your thoughts?

Has anyone seen Aledo play this season? Their district is obviously pitiful. Whitehouse will give them a challenge in that they may score some, but there isn't a team in 4A that will be able to hang IMO.

I saw them once against a good 3A team and it was ugly. That young 3A team didn't play very well, I think it would have been a little different if they would have converted points off that early INT but Aledo didn't have any weak spots.

I've seen them. They beat up on a really young, and not very good (yet) Stephenville team early in the season.
They won't play a team the rest of the year that can stay within 4 touchdowns of them.
Not even Guyer (who I have also seen) if they played.

I agree. They could have hung 70+ on that little ole 3A team if they wanted. They pulled back the throttle when the 2's and 3's were in for both teams.

FWIW - here is Aledo's projected path to a state championship according to pigskin prep.

Bi-district: 44 over Butleson
Area: 29 over Wichita Falls Rider
Regional: 31 over Canyon
Quarter-final: 34 over Canutillo
Semi-final: 17 over Whitehouse
State championship: 9 over San Antonio Brennan

I think the most points scored in a season record is theirs if they want it.
with Trimble Tech left...
scoring 616 - 66
average of 68.4 - 7.3
