A resident for the past 10 yrs in Berclair, a small community in Goliad County, Bum Phillips was laid to rest under an oak tree he picked out on his ranch. There was small service for family and friends out at the ranch for the burial, but a huge memorial service with all kinds of people and dignitaries was held at Lakewood Church in Houston with Joel O'Steen.
