Celina defense played tough hit hard and played very good. On offense Celina's qb had a very good night, he threw 3 or 4 td passes and should have had another, but the receiver dropped the pass. Celina worked on the passing game tonight and overall looked pretty dang good. Looks like tge passing game has turned the corner. It could get very exciting now!!!

That assures La Marque of the top D2 seed. But I'm still not impressed with Stafford. Hempstead, WC, and Sweeny played them tough. They breezed through other 2A schools with lousy records and KIPP Academy (first year in varsity). I'm not looking past WC but that LM-Stafford game down in LM, well, don't miss it if you can help it.

Orange....Celina has a bye week now to get ready for Argyle in Week 10, then at least 3 more weeks before Gilmer if they can get by Melissa. That's lots of time to hone your team for a deep run. See you boys in 2 weeks. I''ll probably stay at the Winstar on a comp and be there for the action. It's almost time for the Eagles to start the season, lol.

Looks like Gainesville will be on the top side of that D2 bracket.... Sanger beat Krum 35-0 tonite and will take the other D1 slot with Decatur.

You can read the full report on another thread, but yes, the Lorena defense was Lights Out! Since halftime of the LaVega game, the Leopard defense has made a complete 180 turnaround.
