Two new coaches, two new systems. Columbus seems to have adjusted pretty quickly while Sealy has struggled on D. Could this be the game where the light comes on for the Sealy defense? I think so. I'll take Sealy in a squeaker.

This game could determine if Bellville goes D1 or D2.

It is about that time the Cardinals start to fall apart.
Sealy improves and takes this one by 3.

Sealy played a solid game last night in defeating Columbus 35-7. QB Holten Einkauf was a true leader on the field. He is quick and an accurate passer.
RB Christian Wallace was held in check for most of the night until late in the game when he raced 95 yards down the sidelines giving him over 150 yards for the night. What was most impressive was the Tiger defense. Good job by everyone. The linemen were in the Cardinal backfield most of the night. Special teams came through big time. On the down side was another double digit night of penalties. This officiating crew was indecisive and often wrong. Never thought I would see the excessive blocking call that one official decided to call. The Sealy player had his helmet ripped off during the exchange, yet he was flagged for holding. The speedster Caldwell was on the sidelines for Columbus. His absence was obvious. Great job by Coach Holcomb and his staff.

Saying El Campo will be a big game for Sealy next week is an understatement. The Tigers will have to play at the same intensity level as they did against Columbus to have a chance against the Ricebirds. The Tigers helped their cause with a 28 point win in the tight District 25 race. It gets no easier with Bellville for the regular season finale the following week.

Is there a way that Columbus can still make the playoff is they upset El Campo in two weeks?

If Sealy or EC lose their last two the Cards would get in. Won't happen though. They have had their upset for the year.

Right - Columbus has to beat EC for any chance at all.

With Sealy in the playoffs, Bellville will go D2.

What say you about how D26 turns out?

La Grange and Gonzales are pretty safe bets. Cuero, Yoakum and Giddings will all finish 2-3 with Cuero staying home if point differential is used. My crystal ball says round one will see, Sealy vs Gonzales and EC vs Giddings (D1) La Grange vs Wharton and Bellville vs Yoakum (D2)

I think you have it about right. LG needs to win out for this to come to pass. I think that is very doable.

Pretty sure ur wrong again.. If it plays out like u predict 3 way tie goes to point differintial (Yoakum wins that) then it goes to a two way tie which Cuero would win because they beat Giddings head to head.

Hey if we lose the next two games we need to just keep our ass at home.

By saying this I don't mean we should win both games but we need a win bad are we go into the playoffs with no momentum. We've brought this on ourselves.

I think any team would rather get in playoffs outright but both Cuero and
Yoakum have very tough games left.

Pretty sure Cuero is in... Just don't think they're hitting on all cylinders right now.. However that being said it's kind of ironic when we barely got by Giddings some people question how good we were but when they just squeeze by them it's because all of a sudden Giddings is playing great football.. Go figure!!!

Do you smell a D25 sweep?
A slightly taller order with 4 teams in the playoffs......

Depends on the match ups. It could happen but I'd say D26 gets one.

I pray Wharton gets Cuero again, it will be the 5th or 6th straight game decided by one point.
