I just read the UIL page for the playoff brackets. The way it read, it sounds as if the two schools with the highest enrollment will go D1, and the remainder D2. So if, for example, enrollment and district play ends as follows (just made these up):

Team A - 999 - 3
Team B - 750 - 2
Team C - 850 - 1
Team D - 725 - 4

Is this interpretation correct? Two biggest schools, regardless of finish go D1, and rest go D2?
Team A = D1 R
Team C= D1 W
Team B = D2 W
Team D = D2 R

Yes this is correct. Of the results based on district standings at the end of district play, the top 4 teams go to the playoffs. The 2 schools with the largest enrollments go D1 and the 2 smaller schools go D2. Piece of cake.


So let's look at a scenario in Districts 7 and 8... of most interest to us both and predict order of finish.

Here's a scenario for you in District 9. If Bridgeport gets by Krum Friday night, and Krum loses out the rest of the way, we could make the D2 playoffs at 1-9 if we didn't win another game. And it gets even better---we would probably draw Argyle, if they go D2, in Rd1 of the D2 playoffs...
