I've posted on here all season that the Astros were fun to follow at times this year...but Lordy, that final record is aweful, isn't it??

The overall record vs the Rangers speaks volumes. That needs to change.

Makes me wonder just how BAD the Met teams of the sixties were....they only had a win total in the twenties.

Now that we have suffered thru this, I sure hope the Astros stay the course and grow the team with theses guys plus minor league call ups.

I too think that better days are ahead.

In the Mets' worst season (1962), they finished 40-120. Not that much worse than we saw from Houston this year.

Astros kept the folks who make KY lubricants in business.

Houston has a long way to go. Worst bull pen, one of the worst offenses and no talent on the field. Gonna have to continue to stack up on draft picks. They are going to have to get a tha rand trade him for several picks like the rangers did with tex.

World Series 2014!

I'm thinking that would require a record breaking turnaround. The 1969 NY Mets improved 30 games from one season to the next to win the World Series and is considered by many the most unlikely WS winner ever..... Astros winning it next season would top that by a long shot. Good luck though.

I think Houston type of player upgrade is like getting someone like Zito as a pitcher and Helton-like as a hitter. Those nearing their end. They will not spend 15-30M on a player that will have real effects. I don't care what they owner says. It's Houston afterall. Plus, who really cares. It's the AL.
