16-14 now

Can't imagine it holds for 2 reasons

1) Fairfield hasn't had to play 4 quarters yet
2) Navasota only down 9 with 3 turns

Well I didn't think they'd be leading at half, either....but they are.

I would like to be able to make a hundred excuses for tonight, but, Fairfield whipped the Rattlers butts in every phase of the game. The Eagles have a great offensive line, two or three damned good backs, a a QB that is very good on the move. On defense they can control the line and have good cover guys and they all tackle well.

I will have to say that this was the Eagles night and they took advantage of every opportunity. I am sure we will see them again in the playoffs.
Anybody that has to play them better buckle up tight because it will be a battle.

Eh, at least it was predistrict. I would like to say they will be fine, but our soph QB obviously has to improve. His numbers are going to be horrible tonight even if you don't count a single INT into the rating. Missed receivers, and the ones on target were dropped 4 out of 5 times. I am sure Fairfield had a hand in slowing down the running game, but then again so did six turnovers. Three big plays from Fairfield, two after turnovers, were a sizable chunk of the Eagle O. Just a butt whipping, but like was said, turnovers can be fixed. Hopefully the kid settles down and doesn't let this game eat at him beyond tonight, he is obviously a talent if Lee is starting him and leaving him out there even on a bad night.

BTW, I can see the ville posters are happier than a pig in crap tonight. This game makes Aledo hurt a little less, right?:taunt:

Don't be so real!!!! S'Ville better be happy that Fairfield will likely be Division 2.

So huge for these kids from FF the community is going crazy right now.Good for them, I remember the win against Coldspring last year, and how energizing it was for the fanbase, especially when the Trojans went on the road the next week and beat top ranked LaMarque. We are missing a lot of senior leadership from last year's team, but it looks like you guys are loaded up for a deep run. Good luck, unless we meet again, of course.

Proud for FF and their community after what they've been through with the loss of a player this past year.

S'ville will line up with anyone and give it their best. Whether it be Aledo, Sota, Carthage, Gilmer, Kilgore, Fairfield... It doesn't matter. S'ville loves a challenge. Bring it!

Well my friend, you beat them tonight and did it convincingly. Navasota made alot of mistakes, but, your Eagles caused alot of those mistakes too. They played their hearts out tonight and deserved the win on the road. Congratulations!!!!!! Hope you make a good playoff run.

Enjoy the ride! Good to see Fairfield is rolling. After watching how much talent they had last year and getting dominated by Glen Rose, I was surprised. Looks like its coming together this season. Congrats!

Yeah they brought back a few of the lineman the o line is really good this year. I think that has been a big part in the growth of the program
