What are your thoughts on a 45 point rule.
Basically if you are ahead by 45 points or more after the first half or any point there after the game is called.

No.
Weight room.

Don't like it. Just go to a continuously running clock and let the game finish up as soon as possible. It's more humiliating to have the game called than it is to get hammered by more than 45. The other option, don't let the other guys score so much.

No. Schedule stronger opponents and if that isn't an option, throw your F/JV out there!

I prefer the running clock and seeing younger backups get some playing time in the second half. They put in a lot of time and effort just to suit up each Friday night.

I say just put the young guys in and if it's really bad, aka 60 or 70 points down, running clock.

Nope! Not for 11 man anyway. Schedule tougher competition for pre-district. 6-man is like basketball, wide open and up and down the field just about every week.

I'm not for any number, but 45 would be ridiculously low. There are plenty of teams who might finish 3-4th in an 8 team district that will get destroyed by the top teams in the state.

I agree. Same could be said about teams in a 5 team district. ;)
