I confirmed with the UIL this morning that snapshot day for 2014 realignment is Oct 25

It shouldn't be as big a deal for 3A this time around as last, though. They will be expanding the number of schools in 3A next season, so practically everybody(except Frisco Lone Star) should remain in 3A next alignment that is in it now. At least, that's the way I understand it will work. The only thing to be determined will be the cutoff number between big school and small school....and nobody knows that yet, anyway. Now there will be some smaller 4A's that will be dropped down to 3A, from my understanding. And maybe a few bigger 2A's moved up if they have significantly increased their enrollment numbers for some reason.

The big question will be where the cut line is drawn....how high will it go between 4A and 5A

What is the minimum number of school's for Division 1 and 2? Has the UIL given any indication?

Nothing specific but my guess based on 2A and 1A #'s is it'll be around 100 in each division

Just out of curiousity how long is it usually from snap shot day
until the numbers are made public?

Matthew328

they are not officially released....just a matter of tracking info down from individual schools

Has Stephenville told a few big Mexican families that the INS is coming to town in late October like they did on the last snapshot day?

Stephenville enrollment was 1004 last check...should be in 4A regardless

So next season we will have 2 teams from each district make the playoffs instead of the current 4 correct?

I was joking. What we know as 3A this year will be 4A next year?
Will there be separate districts for 4AD1 and 4AD2?

I just got started on rounding up ADM's in my area

Here is what I have so far

995 Stafford
969 Bay City
569 Sweeny
440 Palacios
408 Edna
326 Hallettsville

I just can't see how Bay City's enrollment is dropping so much. Guess most of the population is older and not many new families moving in because of having troubles finding jobs

2 years ago Bay City had 1,098 and today they are at 969.

I look for our area to grow in the near future. Businesses are moving in and others are in the beginning stages of expansion.

The districts are going to be spread c out. It will be odd not paying schools that's are ten minutes away that's we've played for years. Let's see how this works out
