There's probably more schools missed. But pretty a pretty cool comparison.

I guess you didn't read the part where I said drop downs weren't included because 10/11 weren't 3A...

I tried to remember all the 3A teams that have been powers lately, and definitely included all the traditional powers and the state champs. Alvarado was a slip up on my part and definitely belonged. I can think of a few, and if anyone wants to look them up be my guest.

But coldspring, Devine, Lorena, La Vega, and to a lesser extent Wylie and Kilgore, among others

How about in the last 10 full seasons? Who has the highest winning percentage beginning with 2003 season?

This is interesting, but it doesn't factor in strength of schedule. Props to Argyle as they have won two of three over Gilmer, but an objective assessment of the two teams' schedules since 2010 would almost certainly show Gilmer to have played a tougher schedule.

We've only been 3a for a year and a half and have not lost to a 3a team... but that doesn't count.

There's a first time for everything, and chances are it'll happen this year.:stirpot:

I'm sure the Stephenville Yellowjackets will get plenty of opportunities in the future to count their wins vs. losses in 3A football in the coming years. I don't think Stephenville is going thru a growth pattern here to throw them back up into 4A anytime soon with new numbers on 3A alignment coming out next year, are they? Y'all will have your chances in D1 in the coming seasons in 3A....just hold your horses. Ain't no sense gettin' all in a tither over no recognition. Everybody knows S'ville has a great football program.

What really matter is winning percentage this year, from district forward.
