That is what I was thinking when I saw this thread. Cuero has always had our number. I hope that changes this year. I look forward to catching this game.

There is always a first time for everything. This just might be it. You never know. I don't think Cuero will show up thinking they have this one in the bag. They are to good of a program for that.

I think it's going to be a pretty competitive game. Cuero is very young this year, but very talented. They don't have the overpowering size of past teams, but make up for in speed and quickness. Probably the fastest team over all we've had in 6 years. On defense you'll see very good defensive backs. The lineman and lb are sure tacklers. On offense you'll see 6 different running backs carrying the ball. They all carry the ball equally well. Keep your eye on freshman running back Tre Miles. He's a speedster.

Could be interesting. Ingleside has some speed this year. Watch for receiver Terrance Robinson. He is attracting some interest from Div. 1 schools for track because of his speed. Also, the McGloin kid. He is small but if he gets loose he is very fast. The Mustangs have 3 good backs. Jaylin Gross is fast and does very well running to the outside. The other 2 backs are very solid.

On the defense, LB Christian Britt is a beast. That boy just plain hits hard. Defensive backs are pretty good. I think Ingleside's defensive weakness is stopping the run to the outside.

Last season district 30 was 0-2 against district 26.

This season 1-0 with Sinton over Yoakum earlier in the season.

Refugio and Cuero has been teams Ingleside hasn't been able to get over the hump against but I think they'll get it done against the Gobblers this season in a good matchup. Should be able to make it to this game.

Cuero is very quiet this year no one willing to bang on the chest yet but this is a very talented young team that spotted a good Wharton team 2 tds and should have won that game. By the end of the regular season I believe this team will be primed to make a good run in the playoffs. The Mustangs will be hard to beat at home but if the Gobblers do you will see a lot more posters talking about Cuero.

I am so out of the loop, it's hard for me to have an intelligent conversation about this year's team. :vrycnfsd: I do know that Coach Reeve and his staff have been working long and hard (as all other coaches, no doubt) and Cuero will be prepared for battle with Ingleside. Hay looking at the Mustangs schedule I see a open date for October 4 same as Cuero. I think Travis is looking for a makeup game as we did not get to play last week due to weather. That would be sweet everyone can take care of the shoulda, woulda ,coulda’s no regrets.

Sinton is open that week I think. That is the week before the Sinton-Ingleside game. Ingleside does not need to make up a game.

Not sure what was going on with the clock or the scoreboard but the hometown fan were letting them know they weren't happy....it's really sad and embarrassing, I was telling a friend of mine that we had been in the the 1st quarter all night and both teams had all their timeout. It was ridiculous!!!!

The Corpus Christi chapter send the clock operator. You would figure that the referee would know how to run the clock. Still not as bad as the 80 year old referees last year at Cuero who could barely walk.
