La Grange Leopards host Canyon Lake Hawks

Well after the Leopards stood in the locker room suited up to play Needville waiting for the PTB to give the go ahead to play the game for 2 hours and then getting the order to stand down due to distant lightening registering on the official Leopard hand held RCA crystal radio receiver they are straining at the reigns to mix it up with the Hawks this Friday. The Leps 3-0 will try to improve their record to 4-0 before going into district play. The Hawks 0-4 are still looking for a win after falling hard 7-34 to Burnet. I look for a bunch of points going up on the home team scoreboard this week.

Leps win, 40-13.

48-28 La Grange. The Leps led 41-14 at the half then midway in the 3rd after going up 48-14 they played the bench. The second defense had difficulty stopping the Hawks running game and almost let them back in the game. Overall a good showing for the Leopards with only one turnover (fumbled deep snap by the 2nd offense) and very few penalties. Out offense is really rolling now and will be hard to stop. However, we need to stiffen up on defense to be ready for Gonzales in two weeks.
