Late in the third quarter, the Bulldogs had a chance to put more points in the scoreboard, but Vega missed a 33-yard field goal attempt.
The Bulldogs finally got their offense going in the fourth quarter. Deontae Richards scored on a 12-yard run with about three minutes left, and Vega’s extra point put the Bulldogs up, 14-0.
With the defensive units dominating the game, Boling was held to 144 yards of total offense. The game was a nailbiter, but the Bulldogs won the defensive battle to improve their season record to 2-1. Needville drops to 0-3 for the season.
