I better put on my Harley-Davidson Suspenders to go with just that cap on Sinton66. I don't want to look too Casual. It will be great to see you again Sinton66 and hopefully meet the rest of you too this evening.

Good scrimmage though between twoo good teams. We got there in time for the second half of JVs and sat in front of the Yoakum and Gonzales scouting crews. Yes it was a really good scrimmage.
The Gobblers have an impressive team, especially their Qb with a strong arm and a fast and tough Rb who broke one open for the only score. Good luck the rest of the way, I expect yall will have a successful season. :)

Good luck to LaGrange too. Who was the #8 TE/DE for the Leopards. I was real impressed with him. Good size and speed for a Guy that big.

Did I miss a flag or something? I thought I saw a pass that scored on the far end away from the gate. I was under the impression that Cuero scored twice.

the cuero score was a pass play for about 60 yds. they ruled the guy down on the other would be score.
i set on lagrange side with my 2 boys.about half way up on the left side.
both teams looked good. i think cuero found them a q.b.

The other score I saw was a break away run from Cuero's running back. Don't think he could have been ruled down since no one touched him. Unless I missed something of course. I agree that Cuero seems to have found a good QB. Just a casual observation, I would also say they look to have size and some good speed too. La Grange looked smaller, but showed good speed too. I think both will do well this year.

I think both will do well this year. The run you referred too was the only score that counted. The other run the guy touched his knee down after the safety hit him and he kept running into the endzone. He showed great toughness and some good speed though and it was impresssive.
La Grange is a little smaller in the O Line averaging about 225 with three big guys, right tackle Hickle at 280, left guard Allen at 240 and left TE Stiffler at 260. Coach has moved Krause at 185, all district MLB to center. That makes two guys playing both ways on the line including right TE Schramm at 225 (all district TE and DE - Old Green, he was #8). This team has good speed and tons of aggressiveness on both sides of the ball. Also, they have 8 starters back on defense and 6 on offense so experience and leadership will help. Last night Coach got a look at some younger players who I think will impress this year. I liked the performance of two in particular, sophomores Kovar DE and noseguard Jasek. Not a bad openning for the Leps, who traditionally take a few match-ups to hit their stride.

Yeah, Pud, I know what you mean. Old Green and I were talking about that last night. We know the La Grange coach uses these scrimmages as opportunities to look at younger players, I would probably do exactly the same if I were in his shoes. The kids really looked pretty good to me. I saw bright spots for both teams. Would have loved to have met you, wish you had walked over.
