What is really scary......He should have more wins.

2005 they lose in the 2nd round to Canton, after scoring like 63 points or something crazy like that.
2006 one of the biggest upsets in recent high school football history losing to LE in the first round after being #1 all year.

Lets be honest, how many times a year would you say Gilmer walks out onto the field, with less talent. Some teams match them talent wise, but VERY few have more talent since 2003.

You can say what you want, but I find it simply amazing that an East Texas town with an enrollment of about 660 students can continually put so many good athletes on the field. Now...you know they are not recruiting other players from other towns or have move-ins coming over to Gilmer, for heaven's sake. I'd say they have developed a winning tradition that gets their youngsters involved very early in a program that is carried all the way through to high school graduation with a coaching staff that is very sound and a mainstay in the community. And a community that is very supportive. Of course, that's the football side. Gilmer still has lots of work to be done on the basketball side of things. And don't use the playoffs as an excuse....Argyle has about the same enrollment and excels at both. Congrats to the town and to the coaching staff at Gilmer on the football side.

Oh...just something to do after the football season is over, lol. Mainly indoors, they try to put this round ball in this elevated basket positioned at opposite ends of a playing court, but there's no physical contact allowed and only 5 players from each team can play at one time. And they wear shorts and tee-shirts.

Sounds kinda like a sissy game to me...:D

By the way, ain't that the sport where we had a perfect season?

Yeah, it is..., we went 0-12!

help me out here...a bunch of guys running around in their underwear and grabbing each others arse...I'm not sure that will ever catch on in Gilmer where men are men and damn proud of it. That Metro bunch...I am not so sure about them.
