I am NOT liking the gray/gray uniforms. I do kind of like the gray helmets, though. GUNS UP!

Looks like he dropped the ball before he got in the endzone.

Is it my TV messed up or are the TCU helmets blue instead of purple? If so why?

TCU doesn't have the team that was anticipated by most for this season, quite obvious now. Texas Tech had enough breaks given them from TCU to win this one....less mistakes and playing good enough to win this one. Don't look for either team to be a force this season in the Big 12.....only teams that could pull off an upset.

Texas Tech just welcome TCU to the BIG12 for the 2nd year in a row!!!!!

Kinda makes the LSU game and LSU not look so good and TCU not very good at all. Give credit to the Red Raiders though. You know their coach is better looking too. lol

That was a pitiful effort by the tcu offense. GP needs to make some tough decisions. I do not believe Boykin is a big 12 quality QB.

Well, ash is certainly better but it may be a toss up between McCoy and Boykin.

I think your being to hard on Boykin..I just think TCU needs to figure out the best system to use with him..he is not a stand in pocket guy..better on the run, with some option stuff and so on..broadcast a game of his when in HS and he has a cannon on vertical routes but is never going to be a 65% accuracy type of guy

Maybe he could be successful given a certain system but ,IMO, he has two huge weaknesses. He is repeatedly late on his throws and he's not accurate. That is a bad combination that a good DC will exploit. You saw it last night. He's a pretty good athlete for a QB, but he's no where near as good a runner as manziel or even ash, for that matter.

People love to talk about how strong of an arm a QB has but the most important aspects a QB has is accuracy and decision making. Throwing the ball on time is a part of decision making. If you can't throw the ball accurately and on time, you can't play big time football, IMHO.

I think Boykin performed admirably given the situation last year, but I have seen absolutely nothing so far that shows me his passing has improved.

he is alot better runner than Ash and I am a UT fan lol..I agree about accuracy and timing..he is a SOPH...I know we are in a age where young QBs play better quicker..but that does not mean every young QB will...his system in HS relied on his legs as much as his arm..over 1700 yards on ground his sr year with 2900 thru air in a system that used alot of downfield routes...now he is in a system more about shorter routes and as you said on time..that is what he needs to fix

Well, I'm not sure I agree on ash, but that's a minor point.

I will be curious to see if GP gets Matthews some reps in practice this week and tries to get his feet wet. The talk is that the kid is a very polished passer.

TCU's offense has massively underachieved....defense played well enough to win...disappointing effort
