A question to PPHS....I have talked to a dozen folks that feel that they are in-the-know and they say that Celina has an elaborate recruiting system in place, on football. Do you know any facts....I can remember when White Oak, Hull Daisetta, Dangerfield, and a dozen others, were out searching for players in a 4 state area.

Celina has been recruiting for years. Parents of potential athletes are wined and dined at the gas station down town and given a free orange soda pop. Then they are taken to the trailer park north of town, told to take their pick, and told that their new job at the feed store will more than pay for their new lifestyle. It must be working because Celina has had at least one player sign a D1 scholarship in the past 50 years. It amazes me that it took this long for someone to figure them out.

Actually one of the stories goes that Coach Moore goes to top 5A and 4A schools and talks to back up players with alot of potential that would be Great players in 2A or 3A and offers them starting spots on a team that goes to state often and gets their names out for scouts more..

Jealousy is a smelly cologne. If Coach Moore grabs so many top players that he offers starting positions so they can get more exposure, how come I can count the number of D1 scholarship winners from Celina and Pilot point for the past fifty years on one hand?

I just love hearing the "Stories". Geez, Keith, grow up.
