3ADL Family. Missy my wife, who has Crohns Disease, and spent over 80 day's in ICU last year from a bowel rupture (fighting infections mainly), will be having surgery tomorrow at Seton Medical Center in Austin. A tear has been detected in that repaired ruptured section. I ask for your prayers as you did last year, and got us through this. If all goes well, it should be routine, but--with her disease, her tissue's are not like a healthy person's and anything can happen when they approach that section for repair. My family thanks you in advance and GOD bless.

Power of this group is amazing. I'm a firm believer in prayer. Thanks.

Ok, Missy is home. Her procedure today was somewhat successful. It wasn't what they had hoped to accomplish, but--they were able to secure the tear via 4 clips via endoscope method, and hope the tissue will adhere and seal itself. They give it a 50/50 chance. We should know within 1-2 weeks if it worked, as the clips start detaching themselves from the tissue. They really were hoping the new tech. scope procedure, that has been out for just under a year, could of been used here. This device can only be used, if it can reach the section needing repairs. It was just a few inches short of reaching Missy's tear. Max length of this device is about 2 feet they said. It would of been able to stitch the tear (without enduring her to another major exploratory type surgery, with another large incision) versus using the clips. Like they said, Missy's system has been through so much trauma via the rupture and prior surgery's, they really don't want to go that route again with her. But, if the tear don't heal over with the clip's help, that will be the only option.

We thank you all for the prayers. It was very uplifting to her as she read them. GOD bless.
