The Ricebirds win by 40 points. The rivalry aspect won't affect the outcome. Bay City is terrible and may not win a game again this year

Agreed...was hearing BC was going to be better this year, but i Guess not...

This is the longest running match up in Texas HS football. (at any level) 103 years (I think) without a miss. Even with BC on the worst run in their history and EC in a kind of down year there will be an overflow crowd of about 9,000. There have been to many games where the big underdog has pulled the upset or took the game to the final seconds, to say the rivalry won't affect the outcome. The Black Cats have had two weeks to get ready for the birds and if they limit turn overs it could be close again.

EC has gotten better in its first 2 games. Can't speak for BC.

Its a great rivalry--at its best when both teams are good.

I may make this one. Not too far away for me since I am living near Downtown Houston. Just gotta deal with that ratchetty SW Frwy traffic.

I usually take 45 thru Houston on my way to WC, but was in NW Houston on business last Friday & the beltway route added 40 mins to my normal transit time. there is no easy way thru that side of town...

Bay City will score a few points. OC has a good idea and will be able to utilize what few weapons he does have. I predict El Campo wins 42-21. That's if BC can catch a break or two like they did against Sweeny.

This used to be a heated rivalry but Bay City doesn't have the same program from 5-10 years ago.

You beat Waller and Rudder, they may be down for 4A schools, but they can't be that bad compared to Bay City.

According to my Stepdad, who used to drive the players bus, the community has lost support for the team and it has traveled downhill to the young kids. So the program fell into a wasteland and lately you have seen the results. It may take some time and the right coaching staff to revitalize Bay City as a football contender again.
