Well, my ORIGINAL plan was to go watch Sweeny play (Kilby and I know each other since we're both Slot-T guys), but unfortunately, the father of my best friend from my days at PIHS passed away on Monday. The funeral was yesterday, which I was unable to attend due to work/travel constraints. So I'm driving down to Port Isabel to hang out with him and his older brother, then watch the PI vs. Lyford game tonight.
I'll have to catch a Sweeny game another time. :( Bellville is on the list too for later in the season.
By the way, if y'all want to follow me on Twitter, I'm @KMartin1311. I'll be posting updates from the game on Twitter, weather permitting. There's some tropical disturbance in the gulf that's been pumping rain into the RGV area. Don't get me wrong, it's badly needed down there, but NOT during Friday Night Lights, please!!!
