Brian Bays, 6'-1" 190 lbs receiver from Lorena recruited by TLU. Bizarre story - worked his way up the depth chart as a true freshman during Fall - 5th to 4th to 3rd. A week ago last Saturday the team suits up for first team photo for photog out of San Antonio, who assembled a large set of risers for pic. Risers collapse, crushing Bays's leg, puncturing ankle. 4 other TLU players hurt. Bays was on crutches for a week, rehabbing.
