#4 Navasota visits Coldspring to take on the Trojans.

In 2012, Navasota beat Coldspring 36-8 on their way to a 16-0 record, division II championship. Fast forward to 2013, Navasota comes in at 1-0 with a game 0 win over 4A Willis Wildkats 35-7. The Rattlers racked up 566 yards in the victory. The Rattlers also had 3-4 sure touchdowns dropped or called back along with 4 turnovers and 3 missed field goals. Navasota's defense looked solid with the Wildkats' only score coming off a ko return.

Coldspring enters the 2013 season with a 39-14 victory over 4A C.E. King Panthers. After struggling in their first scrimmage, losing 5-0 to Jasper, the Trojans are starting to get on track.

The Rattler defense will keep them in every game. There are enough weapons on offense to give any team fits, especially when the mistakes are minimized. Knowing Fedora, these mistakes will be worked out quickly. I expect to see the offense take advantage of the strength of the offensive line this week.

I think the Rattlers will win by at least 10.

I expect the Rattlers to take care of business. From what I've heard from some Coldspring natives is that the Trojans are "down" this season.

I've read where Coldspring is not near the team this season as in recent years. They are picked to win their district, but that district never has been that competitive. I don't think Navasota will have any major problems getting the win this week.

I'm hearing the same thing. We'll see what Barbay has up his sleeve.
