I know there are some monster lines out there! Burnet doesn't have a huge line. But they're strong, quick, and scrappy. Hope they come together as a unit as the season progresses and stay injury free.....

Tackle - Jarrett Thornley ------ 220 lbs.
Guard - Christian Saldivar ----- 240 lbs.
Center - Jared McHazlett -------202 lbs.
Guard - Christopher Saldivar -- 238 lbs.
Tackle - Zach McLeskey -------- 240 lbs.

Our Lep O Line is awesome. They shoot lightening bolts out of their eyes and fire balls out of their arses. And besides that they have electrolytes!

Okay, that's our peewee team...

Tackle - 6'4" 260 lbs
Guard - 6'2" 255 lbs
Center - 6'0" 230 lbs
Guard - 6'1" 240 lbs
Tackle - 6'5" 285 lbs

To tell you the truth, I have no idea the size of our offensive line. We lost three really good linemen to graduation. They will be good, but they'll probably need some time to gel.

Actually, they run, and move quite well.. They have to with the Indian blocking scheme.. Just thick young men.

Brian Thlang 6'2 295
Eric Gonzalez 6' 305
Patrick Cross 5'11 265
Dekendric Morris 6'1 255
John Maxey 5'10 225

I think they could be the best O-line Palestine has had in 3aaa for sure.

I think most coaches fudge the numbers. Celina's nose tackle is about 5'8 200lbs tops and he is listed at 220.

yeah I agree....too much emphasis on size.......maybe they should measure the size of their hearts instead!.....It could be a part of their yearly athletic physical....a CT scan of the heart!!

The the average weight divided by the average BMI might be a better indicator of success. Big and lean is what you want to see up front.

Keep sending smoke signals toddg! Dooms Day is getting closer for the Injuns. We know Alvarado's goal this season is to beat the Ville. Not going to happen. Way too many weapons. A little Rocket lingo for ya. ;)

Okay, here's what Argyle has on the front O-line this season:

Matt Hiter, Jr. 265 lb. tackle
Matt Waggoner, Jr. 6'0 260 lb. guard
Hayden Hood, Sr. 6'0 215 lb. center
Michael Castle, Sr. 6'0 290 lb. guard
Zach Hass-Benson, Jr. 275 lb. tackle

Argyle's roster this season consists of 30 Srs., 10 Jrs., and 15 Sophs. Depth is better than most of the competition, and platooning will be used heavily. Many players will see action all season.

Reagal im not trying to argue with you, but the Argyle oline is not that big. The left tackle is the tallest kid and he is 6'2 tops and about 230lbs. I know the center and right guard arnt but about 5'10 if that. The heaviest linemen might be 275 at left guard. I know this because when they scrimmaged Prosper last week I was down on the field and they were not that big. As a matter of fact I was talking to some Argyle folks who were talking about how much smaller the o and dlines are this year.

If you got that from a roster sheet coaches always fudge the numbers. Celina has a few players on the roster who gained about 10 or 15 lbs overnight.

I got it from a Denton County Football mag. that had all the area teams, rosters, and articles in it online. The Waggoner kid is a move in this year from Keller. Mike Castle at guard is from FM Marcus. Hiter, Hood, and Benson played last season. There's some other linemen that platoon with some of these guys that you probably saw. Maybe the coaches were looking at various mixtures of the O-line in the scrimmages you saw. If I had a 290 lb. lineman from FM Marcus, I think I'd try to play him. Same for the Waggoner kid that moved in from Keller. Maybe they need to learn the blocking schemes a little more that our offense runs....I dunno. This is the line the mag. had. I'm sure they got that info. from the Argyle coaches and this mag just came out last week, I believe.

BTW, that good rb from Denton moved into Sanger over the summer...Trevon something or another. Supposedly, he and another rb that is a bruiser back(played only 5 games last season, then injured) will tandem a spread offense that has a junior at qb that won the job this summer. Look out for Sanger this season in District 9. The new qb played some last season as a green soph, but grew in size and worked hard in the offseason in the weight room. Supposedly, he is 6-1 190 this season and has a good arm.

Yea that's not surprising I figured it came from some type of Roster the coaches put out. Don't get me wrong the oline is not small, but they are no where close to the size that magazine is saying. If I remember right I would say both tackles are about 225 to 230, Lg is probably 5'10 275, C and Rg are around 5'10 215ish. Those are the linemen with the 1st offense. Those guys were the biggest of the linemen.

OM, they do it for psychological reasons for the kids. It makes those players "feel and think" they are big and strong. There is method to the madness, lol.

Sanger's enrollment is 2nd behind Decatur. Gainesville is 3rd, then Bridgeport and finally Krum. Krum will have trouble now without Caz Woziak and a new soph. at qb. Sanger is my darkhorse to win this district.

Yeah, everybody has Gainesville to win it, but Argyle has played these teams for years. Sanger is the team that can bounce back bigtime from a nightmare of a season. They had like 7 starters injured early in the year last season that never returned. This year they return the kitchen sink, I'm telling you. Look out for Sanger. You heard it from me earlier on here, and don't be surprised if it comes down to the Gainesville/ Sanger game. I like Gainesville too, but Sanger is a definite contender, imho.
