Yeah..that includes 9 seasons in Japan. He started playing at the age 18. Crazy numbers regardless.

Yeah, it includes almost 3000 in the major leagues alone...

He could very easily break Pete Rose's record, though I don't know how many people would consider it

Bob Costas, speaking on MLB network says that Major League Baseball will not recognize the hits not accomplished in the major leagues.

That Cobb and Rose will continue to be the only 4000 level hitters.

Caught the last bit of the discussion on Roger Maris and his single season HR mark. But did not hear if baseball is leaning towards going back to that record.
