They really don't have a choice. The south is populated with other schools and subdivisions with no open area to build a stadium. The east is a heavily business district and more freeways. The north is open now, but the continued construction of Hwy 99 (Grand Parkway) makes that not feasible. To the west of the Merrill Center, about a half a mile, is Ft. Bend County, and the folks in Harris County aren't gonna $tand for that. Basically, Katy is a "boxed-in" city without the clout to move the City of Houston out.

it is kinda weird..just give the Tigers their own stadium i say..
