Not sure I like where Stephemville is. Means Monterrey Prepa Tech could sneak up on the Ville again and win again! But, started #1 last season and finished #1.

Where the heck is Alvarado? :D

IMO:

Navasota may be starting a little too high.. but, we shall see.

No Coldspring. The Trojans will be in at least the top 15 by the end of the season.

Abilene Wylie and Gatesville ranked way to high in my opinion...

How are the rattlers gonna look this season? And its hard to get in the rankings when you go from a state finalist team to a team that gets knocked out in the first round by a good Gatesville team

Just a hunch...

Fair enough. It's all anybody's guess at this point anyway.

However, I do recall that last season you had a "hunch" that Argyle would beat Wylie by 21. That one worked out pretty well for the Bulldogs so keep on hunchin'! (Did I really just type that??)

I will have a better idea tonight if I'm able to get to the scrimmage w/ Sealy. I know that we will be good, but exactly how good will be the biggest question...

Week 1, Navasota plays at Coldspring. That should be a good measuring stick for both programs.

Port Isabel @ 20. Not good, but not bad.

The Tarpons are scrimmaging 5A Brownsville Pace on Saturday. If Pace is anything like they were last year, then it won't be a real test for PI. Then they scrimmage 4A Mercedes, who lost their starting QB for the season (Isaiah Garza aka IG5) due to a tragic accident that put him in the hospital.

We'll get a better gauge on how the Tarpons are when they play 5A Brownsville Veterans. They advanced to the 2nd round in the 5A playoffs last season and gave Del Rio a pretty good game. They're expected to be just as good this season. That will be the test right there to see if PI is deserving of the #20 ranking.

I do!....and I can tell you Brownwood, Liberty Hill, and Burnet will all finish ahead of Gatesville in 8-3A.....In sayin' that however, Gatesville D should keep them in the runnin' in every game so anything can happen....we'll know more soon enough....

I am not sure Celina should be that high now. I have watched a lot of practice and we are gonna be good. But young. It could be one of those teams but until we get experience and a few games it is hard to tell.

I would of thought Wimberley would have been in the top 20 or so, but to be honest, I suppose I shouldnt be surprised with us having a new coaching staff. I have a good feeling that we will end up in the top 20...but thats only a feeling. Could be homerism too...not sure. But I do know we have some talent coming of age, and the word on our new head coach is very positive. So....we shall see!

P.S. I GUARANTEE we will make the play-offs....LOLOLOL

I have been following 3A downlow since Celina played Liberty Hill in 2006. BillyFred you have been the one poster that gives me the best insight about my bobcats....I was worried with all the talk of how young we are and I will be honest last year was a bit disappointing as I just never felt like we got into sync. Anyway, your post has me feeling much better about my bobcats this year and next.
