Starting pitcher Jared Cosart had a 1.3 ERA coming into tonight and pitched 6 shutout innings and had a 1-0 lead.

Bullpen immediately blows the save. That's something like 8 blown saves in the last 10 games

I don't care what anyone says about them. Since August 13, they're 2-0 :)

Lol yeah, nice comeback win last night. I just wanted to shine some light on Cosart and point out how awful the bullpen is yet again

The Astros are definitely showing some signs this year. Several guys have emerged and been pretty solid for stretches of the year, but as Saggy said it's just the bullpen has been so bad. Nothing sinks you faster then a bad bullpen

Astros would be .500 if they had a good bullpen

Just so people know, Astros SP Jared Cosart has a 1.15 ERA through his first 6 major league starts. Thats the 7th lowest EVER in major league history. And hes like the Astros 5th highest rated prospect.

But yeah, all these astros geniuses keep telling me theyre not on the rise....

Luhnow HAS to invest in the bullpen in the offseason. There's a lot of good future pitchers in the system, sure, but it's time to move toward mediocrity.

Springer now has 33 homers, 98 rbis and 38 stolen bases....

Luhnow said he'll finish the AAA season which will include playoffs, then HOU will make a decision whether or not to call him up. He's in the final vote for minor league player of the year over all levels and all organizations.

Astros beat the angels last night 8-2. Starting pitcher Brad Peacock pitched 6 2/3 and gave 0 ER (2 Unearned)

Springer just hit his 35th homer and has 100 RBIs

If you consider where the Astros would be if not for 20 something blown saves, theyd be better than .500. Tells you how awful the bullpen is and how much difference a good one makes. No excuses tho. Bullpen is part of the team, but the easiest part to fix via free agency. Could be fixed pretty quickly with a solid closer.

George Springer hit his 36th homer last night and then later hit a walkoff single with 2 outs in the 9th.

He's hitting .302, 36 HRs, 102 RBIs, 39 SBs. He's knocking on the door for a 40/40 season. Just for perspective, he's the first player since 2009 to even have a 30/30 season....

You would think that he deserves a look with the big club.

And for gosh sakes, don't let him be packaged somewhere else.

He likely will once the minor league season is finished. Luhnow has already said he'll finish the AAA season including playoffs. Theres no rush. He should be a September call up.

I will say this, Saggy.....you are a true and faithful Astros fan. Good luck to the Astros next season. Hopefully, they'll make a run for one of the playoff spots.

Maybe Crane will spend some of that $99 million on a bullpen for next year.

Gah, you guys have absolutely no clue. First the Astros issued a statement saying that was 'significantly inaccurate' THEN Forbes themselves retracted their own article saying it was 'grossly inaccurate'....

The real reason I came here was to say the Astros blew their 26th save today...

And yes. I'm a bonafide Astros fan. I'm the say way the Texans, Aggies, Rockets and Roughnecks.

I was a texans fan when they won 2 games, I will always be a roughneck and I was right here defending my Aggies when they blew about 8 2nd half leads a couple years ago. I support my teams no matter what... Like real fans do. I can't stand it when everyone is a fan because all of a sudden they're good again. It's really annoying right now for the REAL Aggie fans who stuck with em when they sucked.

Hello bullpen.... 25th blown save

yea saw the score was 6-6 in extras and heard the score this morning 10-6 final. Looks like the offense scored some runs and bullpen lost it in extras. Did the Astros have a lead late?

Astros were winning 6-2 early in the game... 6-4 when our starter was pulled. Had a 6-5 lead in the 8th... Blew that and then gave up 4 more in the 9th....
