View Full Version : Texas tops Collegiate Licensing Company’s royalties list

ATLANTA – University of Texas fans have always worn burnt orange with pride. Longhorn fans know that "The Eyes of Texas" are always upon them and they like to make their loyalty for their team known.

For the eighth consecutive year, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) announced that the University of Texas collected the most royalties of any college or university represented by the organization.

These rankings, released Monday, are based on royalties reported July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. CLC represents nearly all major schools with the exception of Ohio State, Michigan State, University of Southern California and Oregon, according to multiple reports. CLC estimates that college merchandise brings in $4.62 billion annually.

Nike was the No. 1 apparel licensee among college teams and EA Sports was the top non-apparel licensee.
