The 2014 season will be the 100th year of Buckeye Football. 1914 was not a great year for the Buckeyes...2 games with Pittsburg (0-51 & 0-32), Winnsboro (13-0), 2 with Marshall (0-13 & 0-12),& Mineola (18-0)...but we have learned. Needless to say, Gilmer looks forward to dynamic season.

Stephenville expects nothing less than a 3A championship and neither do the Buckeyes. It hasn't always been that way for us..........The kids and the coaches from the last 14 years have built an amazing tradition and I don't see it ending anytime soon. Those kids expect to win............It's just what we do.

I agree! I love what Gilmer has going especially with the numbers they have to work with. Goes to show you can do more with less. Josh Walker is a beast and appears to be a great leader. Looking forward to seeing Gilmer make another SC appearance this season.
I was just ribbing BB a little. ;)

We have had our share of Wins & Losses...personally, the Wins are a lot more fun.

To be fair Henderson leads the all time series with Carthage with Gilmer not so much.

buckeyebob has Carthage envy...I would venture to say 75% of his posts in some way relate to Carthage. Congrats on 100 seasons, and congrats on beating Carthage in 2011.

Negatory...Carthrage has a great program...envy - nope...enjoy playing them a lot...75% - nope...the only time I mention the Bulldogs is when I need a "pitiful fix...metnion them and the responses are plentiful & pitiful
I think it would be awsome for the Bulldogs & the Buckeyes to bring home State Championships...of course that is the Kilgore Bulldogs...:stirpot:
