Football season is just around the corner and to wet your appetites for prep school pigskin pageantry, the La Marque Kiwanis Club has something made to order.
The Fred B. Faour Coach’s Dinner will be 6 p.m. Aug. 2 at La Marque High School, 300 Vauthier.

A barbecue dinner will be served, and area coaches will discuss the upcoming football season.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

We are expecting coaches from 24-3A (La Marque, Sweeney, West Columbia, Stafford, Houston Kipp Sunnyside), 24-4A (Galveston Ball, Pearland Dawson, Friendswood, Galena Park, Baytown Lee, Goose Creek Memorial, Santa Fe, Texas City), and 24-5A (Brazoswood, Clear Brook, Clear Creek, Clear Falls, Clear Springs) except for Dickinson and Clear Lake.
