Report: Johnny Manziel Kicked Out of Manning Camp For Sleeping Through Meetings

It looks like Johnny Football is the center of controversy once again. Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel has found himself in hot water at the Manning Camp after he failed to show up for numerous meetings. Manziel was “sick” according to the camp officials, which is often code for hungover, after a night out on the town Friday night and he could not throw on Saturday night.

However, it appears Manziel was kicked out of the Manning Camp for partying too hard:

“Something kinda unbelievable, Johnny Football was asked by the Mannings to leave, hence the reason why he didn’t throw. [He] slept through all the staff meetings came out to practice only once. Amazing. [He] shouldn’t do that anyway but definitely not to the Manning’s. I never saw him once. Heard some ladies snapped a pic of him and McCarron in the bar and it hit twitter and he wasn’t happy about that.”

It is just the latest sign of extreme immaturity from Johnny Manziel.

Not only did he do himself a disservice by robbing himself of a chance to learn from some of the best in the NFL, but he completely disrespected the Mannings.

Texas A&M hopes to make a run in 2013, but they will need their quarterback to focus on playing football rather than chilling with pretty ladies and kicking back drinks before he has meetings and obligations on the field.

Plenty of NFL scouts already have concerns about Manziel’s attitude and immaturity and this report will do nothing to help.

Sounds like he takes everything for granted. Typical case of being spoiled rotten and not having strict enough punishments for his actions. Needs a big slice of humble pie if you ask me.

Don't be so hard on this guy, Aggies. He put you back on the football map. He may not make it in the NFL to any greater degree than Vince Young has, but you'd better let Johnny be Johnny if you want that national title this season, just as Mack finally let Vince be Vince.

Seems all the reports of him being kicked out were false. He was sick and missed morning meetings. Decided to go home. Peyton Manning said he was awesome while there and definitely wants him to return next year. Non Story.

His dad said dehydration...seems that I know something that causes dehydration and sickness in the am. Especially after he was pictured in a bar with the Bama QB.

This guy reminds me of Joe Namath, my boyhood idol, with a bit of Don Meredith thrown in.

Going way back before my time, there was a drunk named Bobby Layne who was a damn good QB as well.

Another "bad boy" QB back in the day was Kenny "Snake" Stabler.

Someone responsible from Aggieland take this kid under their wing and prevent him from destroying himself. Wrong path your going down Johnny Football. Keep going, you'll be one of those "what could of been" type players.

Or at least prevent him from destroying Alabama and OU again. We can't all be the president of our local FCA chapter. Stay thirsty, Johnny Football. I think he's going to try the anti-Tebow route to the pros. More power to him.

I'm really surprised that people are so worked up over this. Granted, it's not good to disrespect the mannings, but good grief, the kid is having fun. He's not getting caught with blow, hookers and a 9mm. He's just having, from what I can tell, normal college fun with the added benefit of being a celebrity.

I am all for having fun in college however I would still expect my son to carry himself better out in the public eye, guess it all depends on the upbring from the parents. You cannot tell me he is not pushing the limit on what he can get away with because of who he is, if he were my son we would have a little heart to heart talk about the way he is carrying himself. He has special abilities on the football field but he is not carrying himself the way I would expect from my own, some can handle the pressure in his situation and some cannot. This year will be a big factor in deciding who he really is, time will tell.

Until he is involved in some sort of alcohol related accident or incident then it will be Who provided alcohol to this young underage boy....and wasnt there some sort of debate on here about him being in a casino and flashing money with some friends? Thought you had to be 21 to get inside the gaming area.

Love to watch him play just hope he's not getting the Justin Bieber complex.

What does this topic have to do with Texas? They won't play each other unless it is a bowl game...It's more to do with the immaturity of this kid knowing he is a public figure. He is the football worlds Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and etc.

The dude hates being an Aggie and hate college station.

Years down the road when there is a Manziel statue in Aggieland, aggies will speak of manziel and what he was while telling their kids they want them to grow up to be like Johnny.

You people are as nuts as the Guys on ESPN. Everything reported on ESPN has been hearsay and rumor. The first thing that was reported cam from the website Rumors and Rants. C'mon.

He was photographed with McCarron from Bama and Peyton Manning in a bar..... once again.... Anything after that is hearsay.

He did leave the camp.... After which Manning said everything was up and up and he was welcome back next year..... anything after that is hearsay and innuendo.

Finally.... Who Cares if he got drunk and left the Manning Camp. Exactly what does that have to do with anything. Who did it hurt? He is a 20 yr old kid having a great ride. Lets see, how many of yall would turn down the opportunity to sit courtside at NBA finals, Hang with LeBron, or play Pebble Beach? None..... so why should he? Winning the Heisman does not mean you have to be a Saint, it means you had a great year playing football. Leave it at that.

Oh and that Tebow guy was/is an incredible example of how to live your life in the public eye..... How is that working out for his football career? Its not. What it boils down to is this, Johnny can play football. He is not a role model and no athlete should be held up as one. Being great at sports doesn't make him a better person, just makes him great at sports.

Pretty much sums it up. I'd like to see a poll here. Raise your hands if you waited until you were 21 to drink an alcoholic beverage. Come on people, fess up. I sure as heck drank before 21. Hell, I wasn't even out of high school. I've never been arrested, haven't cheated on my wife, have raised two fine boys, have a good job. I would call that turning out alright. Must we judge a college kid acting like a college kid so harshly? Call me when he is busted for selling drugs, murdering someone or running a prostitute ring.

Now we know he didn't show up the guy running the camp said nothing about him getting kicked out and wants him back next year. So until proof comes out he did anything wrong....give it a rest.

And you are right, he should've shown up. But he didn't and NO ONE was hurt. Who cares? Why make a big deal out of it. Manning himself says every year counselors leave early..... why is this different?

Making excuses for all his actions because he is a good football is what is leading him down the path he is taking. He needs to grow up and take responsibility for his actions or he will be on the fast track for the Lindsey Lohan way of life.

I understand that kids his age are doing the exact same things but when you are a Heisman trophy winner and a starting QB at a major division 1 college you need to carry yourself that way. There are kids looking up to you because of it.

It's known he has had an alcohol problem since high school and it is not hearsay that he is at these bars when there are eye witnesses who have identified him and took pictures.

As you can tell by this post from last year, OT has not matured enough to be picking on Johnny Football. I bet he drinks in bars too!!!!!
And don't come back with "he should set an example"---we all should but most of us don't set the best example. We are just lucky that everybody is not watching every move we make.

I think most people have a problem with it because he is supposed to be a role model for younger folks. How many 8 and 10 years olds tell their mom and dad they want to be just like Johnny Football? Dad asks "you want to win the Heisman?". "No Dad, I want to party, drink underage, get in fights and have fake IDs while there are no repercussions to my actions!!!".

What really astounds me is that Tebow gets criticized for being too 'Christian', but what JF is doing is just boys being boys.

Now this sums it up 100% , just take control of your life. Weather he like's it or not , he is a role model to many young kids and that is not how he is acting. Period, it has nothing to do about someone being a Texas fan or any other fan , he is fixin to hit a crossroad and it is up in the air which one he will take. It would be a shame for him to waste all his talent like many have already done, hope he grows up quick.

I really get tired of this role model crap. I grew up idolizing the cowboys....yeah, the same ones that snorted cocaine on the sidelines and got into endless, well documented, amounts of trouble backin the day. And I never needed up snorting cocaine with hookers.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that guys like that got away with more in the past. Cops were constantly turning the other way and telling drunk cowboys to get home when they were pulled over or got rowdy at a bar. Those things don't happen today. I just don't believe that these athletes are any different than they were 20 or 30 years ago. We just have more access to information than we used to.

Bottom line is that you need to keep your kids grounded about these 'idols' they have.

So it's not a big deal if. 25 year old guy snorts coke on the sidelines but its not ok for a 20 year old to have a couple of beers and have a good time checking out honies at the club?

Weird point.

Never said it was "no big deal". Said, those Cowboy's were of age. And, a 20 year old isn't. There is a reason the drinking age is 21. Cause, most act like JM and can't handle the responsibility of drinking. Sure there are "honies" at the mall or local swimming hole to check out too.

If the worst thing that you can say about a 20 year old college student is that he is not a good role model for 8-10 year olds then I wouldn't be too concerned.

I wasn't a good role model for children at that age. I don't expect my kids will be either. I'm not sure how wise it would be for parents to expect a 20 year college student to be their kid's role model.

Although, it sounds like hook has raised the perfect child/role model. It's hard to find a kid who doesn't drink, smoke, cuss or have sex these days. If you have successfully pulled that off, you are a tremendous father.

I got a relative who once installed a home theatre system in Charlie Waters home.......saids good ol' Charlie had ********* plants growin' in his house! LOL.....course, this same relative is a lyin' sumbitch so who knows if his story is true......

You keep trying to reduce this guy’s image as a “20 year old college student” that drinks, he’s much more than that. More like a high profile 20 year old Heisman trophy winner from Texas a&m that has a drinking problem. Also, youth pick their role models parents don’t. A agree that he’s not a role model.

- Phone was dead and alarm clock didn't go off, overslept.
- He and the Mannings decided mutually for him to head home and rest
- He's 20 years old
- Compared himself to Bieber
- Avoided any question of alcohol the previous night

Statements issued prior to media day

Allegedly seen partying at North Gate...... The one picture of him, supposedly, out that night was proven to be taken 6 months ago.

All the same who cares? Johnny Manziel left the Manning Camp..... those are the facts you have!!! You have rumors and innuendo about the rest. Manning says he wasn't partying or hungover, Manziel says he wasn't partying or hungover, so everything else is "guessing, imagining, or flat fictitious!"

You heard it here first, Old Tiger has finally admitted that Texas A&M is a Major D1 college. This is so stupid.

Look I am an Aggie, do I wish that Manziel would grow up and carry himself a little better, of course. Do I think that his having a good time and immature behavior is as bad as many of your troubled athletes and their behavior over the past many years.

Manziel may be making many voters of the Heisman regret their vote a little, but that doesn't change that he is one hell of a athlete, He is still very young, and in history, there has never been a athlete as young as him with the level of spotlight he is facing. I am not saying that most athletes couldn't handle it better, but I am also not saying that there haven't been any like him either. However, usually the ones that have acted similarly to him have received the trophy and marched on to the pros right a way.

The only thing I will say that he might regret is that IF, big if, he is able to have as big a year this year or bigger, he may be hurting his chances at back to back heismans with his behavior.

You seriously beleive he is handling himself out in public the way you would expect your son in his shoes, if you beleive he is just acting like a normal college student then your expectations of your son are totally different then what I would expect but hey to each his own. Not judging you , just not what I would expect from my son. One last thing, he is not a Normal College student weather he likes it or not and certain expectations and responsiblities comes from being in the spot light. Well, it looks like BYU handled this right. They waited until after his final bowl game to kick him off campus. This is what the Aggies should do. Right after Manziel declares for the draft, they should holler, "That's it, Johnny. Word has gotten back to us that you've been violating the honor code. You're outta here!" :)

At least Johnny hasn't barked at Reveille yet. Dogs are pretty special. Don't EVER bark at them, even if they bark first.

If you cannot figuire it out yourself by watching him handle himself in the public eye, then you definitely have different standards for kids in how they behave in public. I have always taught my son to never get to high or low and always be humble , act like you have been there before. Some kids just have to be in the spotlight and weather it is good or bad , all I am saying is Manziel is not handling his fame with class. In time he will mature and see his mistake, hopefully it will not cost him. I'm not the one you were referring to but here are some....

Pre-heisman......fighting and providing false identification. Not just one, but 2 fake id's.

Post-heisman.....illegal underage drinking in public numerous times. Manning football camp, drunk the night before and out partying the night after but he was allegedly sick during the meeting. If he wasn't hungover he should've answered the questions at the SEC media days, but he knew he'd only incriminate himself.

I personally think it is stupid that he keeps calling himself a 20 year old kid. Maturity-wise maybe he is.

He has brought A&M football to new levels. He is a phenominal athlete, but he is as immature as a 13 year old boy. He needs to just be quiet, hang with his friends in private and not bring negative light to the University that gave him the chance to show his talent and possibly get to the next level. Funny thing is that A&M fans mostly don't care about the way he acts. I can promise you one thing, had that been AJ McCArron acting this way, Saban would've done had a talk with the boy and striaightened a bunch of stuff out.

Here's where it gets interesting. He prob has had a few soda pops. Yu do know that 90% of college kids partake? And that may be low. You gonna call a kid bad for drinking a few adult beverages ? You do realize that you also calling the vast majority of college kids bad kids.

Lol. I'd love to discuss this further with you if you promise to keep replying.

PPppoorrrr Old Tiger.
He didn't take responsibility for nothing. He avoided questions and stuck to the same answers to the media in the avoidance. Said he was going to keep living his life the way he was and he doesn't think he did anything wrong because he's 20.

You people kill me. You have taken him from a 20 yr old kid having fun to an Alcoholic!!!! Really, where is your proof.

You constantly talk about him leaving the Manning Camp as being "kicked out", when Mannings said it had nothing to do with drinking.

You say he was out in College Station the night he left the Manning Camp, when it was proven that the photos taken that night were actually taken 6 months previous.

You guys do realize that he was also sighted in New Orleans drunk the friday of the Manning Camp. Those sightings were proven untrue also. He has been sighted in many places he wasn't at. I remember a few months ago reading on Twitter that Johnny was at North Gate on a saturday night, but the funny thing is I was sitting in Loggins Restaurant in Tyler, Texas 2 tables over from him while he was having dinner with his grandparents. Johnny sightings are becoming like UFO's.

You guys read crap on the internet and it becomes truth....... Let me introduce y'all to my date, she's a French Model!!!!

I think the boy is immature and pampered, but that doesn't make him a bad kid.

And to the guy who asked about my kids. I have a 21 yr old and 20 yr old. They are both 3.0 GPA college kids who like to go out and drink with their friends. Do I like it, NO. But they are still good kids? You are Damn Skippy!!!!

And once again, Why is it so bad that he left the Manning Camp? It had nothing to do with his team, his university, or his ability to play ball. Heck, it was a camp.

Found this on another message board and thought it was topical:

April 2002: Cedric Benson is arrested for ********* possession at a party to which the police were called. Charges are dropped in May.
May 2002: Brock Edwards is arrested for assault following a fight at a frat party in which he ends up stomping on some guys head. He is later given probation.
May 2003: Edorian McCullough, Larry Dibbles, Selvin Young, and Aaron Harris are all driving in a car which gets pulled over. Cops find a bag of weed stuffed in an air vent and arrest all of them with possession. Charges are dropped against all of them in July.
October 2003: Cedric Benson (INCIDENT #2) kicks in the door to an apartment to supposedly try and recover a stolen TV. Except he breaks into the wrong apartment. He is arrested for criminal trespassing and sentenced to eight days in jail, none of which he ever serves because of "overcrowding."
November 2003: Matt Nordgren and Cedric Griffin "confront a UT student" for an unknown reason and prevent him from calling the police. Griffin is charged with interference with an emergency phone call, and Nordgren is charged with criminal mischief.
December 2004: Freshman RB Eric Hardeman is arrested with *********, several bags of cocaine, and $3,774 in cash. Hardeman also had academic issues at the time, and is thus kicked off the team, only to eventually get busted again for dealing drugs.
November 2005: Myron Hardy gets into a fight and pulls out a butterfly knife during the altercation. He is arrested on the weapons charge. Mack actually kicks him off the team for this in conjunction with academic issues, the guy apparently actually faces the charges, and he rejoined the team in 08 for his senior year.
December 2005: Cedric Griffin (INCIDENT #2) and Ramonce Taylor are investigated in connection with a beating and robbery. It is announced that they will not be charged on December 17th, after a ESPN source with APD reports that they had interestingly had the upcoming NC game as the deadline of whether or not to file charges.
May 2006: Ramonce Taylor (INCIDENT #2) is involved in a large fight in which officers on scene report that Taylor threatened to come back with a gun. More officers arrive to handle the fight, and Ramonce wants them to go after a guy who busted out his window during the melee. Unfortunately, the cops find 5 pounds of weed and a bullet in his car and arrest him on felony charges, which he actually faces because Mack kicks him off the team for his second incident in conjuction with academic troubles.
August 2006: Former player Marco Martin is charged with molestation of a 6-year-old boy. I don't know what happened with this, and honestly, I don't want to find out.
September 2006: Tarell Brown, Tyrell Gatewood, and former player Aaron Harris (INCIDENT #2) are pulled over in their swerving vehicle. ********* is found in the car, and Brown is passed out in the back with a loaded gun in his lap. Brown and Gatewood have the drug charges dropped, and miss one game. I couldn't find what happened with the gun charge, if anything.
February 2007: Ahmard Howard and Brandon Collins are charged with drug possession. As usual, they pass the university-administered drug test which apparently isn't a conflict of interest for reasons I'll never know, and both avoid suspension.
March 2007: Tarell Brown (INCIDENT #2) is arrested for possession of *********. As expected, he passes a university-administered drug test and misses no time.
June 2007: Henry Melton gets arrested for DWI on 6th Street. Melton gets a 3-game suspension for the OOC schedule.
June 2007: Robert Joseph is caught taking items from cars in a parking lot, and runs from the police when his story about who owns these cars begins not to check out. He breaks into another car and hides, but is eventually caught by police, arrested, and charged with burglarizing a vehicle. Joseph is kicked off the team for also having academic issues at the time.
July 2007: Sergio Kindle gets arrested for DWI. Much like Melton, he gets the OOC suspension and nothing more.
July 2007: Robert Joseph (INCIDENT #2) and Dre Jones commit armed robbery. They threaten to kill the 14-year-old in the residence, and steal various electronics. Jones is given the boot. There are plenty of witnesses, which leads into the next crime.
August 2007: This is my personal favorite. James Henry beats up the witnesses to the armed robbery committed by Joseph and Jones. During the assault, he yells that "b*tches deserve to get kicked" as he is kicking a witness in the head. Joseph calls him from jail and Henry tells him that he "whupped them n*ggas, fool." Unfortunately, the conversation is recorded. I'm fairly certain Joseph, Jones, and Henry all faced some serious charges, especially since they got the boot from the team.
September 2007: Former player Peter Gardere gets arrested for DWI. Apparently even the old-school guys can't stay out of trouble. I'm not sure what happened with this.
September 2007: Tyrell Gatewood (INCIDENT #2) and Ben Wells are arrested with an array of narcotics, including *********, Xanax, promethazine, and codeine. Gatewood missed his Senior year and Wells stayed on the team.
May 2008: Former player Cedric Benson (INCIDENT #3) is arrested for BWI, which is boating while intoxicated. BWI is typically a charge that you have to be belligerently drunk to get, and it sure didn't help that Cedric resisted arrest. He failed the field sobriety test and spent the night in jail.
June 2008: Former player Cedric Benson (INCIDENT #4) is arrested for DWI. Benson had driven through a red light, and had then failed the sobriety test. Despite refusing to take a blood or breath test, Cedric claims that he aced all the tests and that he's being profiled. The Bears release him due to his "pattern of behavior" and he is ordered to put a ignition lock breathalyzer in his car.
September 2008: Lamarr Houston gets a DWI following a wreck with another car. He is suspended for the UTEP game with Mack's "No Tolerance" policy.
June 2009: Sergio Kindle (INCIDENT #2) plows into an apartment right after the bars close. He flees the scene and avoids the hospital blood tests despite suffering a concussion. The team doctor treats him in the morning, and his lawyer, which he can magically afford after 1 costly DWI, floats a story that Kindle was "probably texting" at the time. Mack of course runs with this. Kindle promises to pay for the $8700 in damage with more of that money he magically has, and no charges are ever filed. Kindle misses no snaps.
October 2009: Kenny Vaccaro is arrested after assaulting a UT student in the gym. Kenny and his boys were throwing basketballs at this law student, who apparently threw one back. Vacarro can't take what he's dishing out, so he goes and clocks the guy. Kenny says the guy was trying to start a fight, because apparently law students want to singlehandedly take on a football player and his crew. Vacarro has missed no time.
November 2009: DJ Monroe is arrested for DWI. If you haven't seen the video, watch it here. http://www.blip.tv/file/3009940 It's about as damning as it could possibly be. He swerves around on the road, fails every test, changes his story, is barely coherent, and pukes in the cop car multiple times. And he points out his status as a UT football player twice. And yet, by mid-December, it has been reduced down to the slap on the wrist of "obstructing a passageway." Perhaps more appalling than the charge reduction is the turnaround time, given that DWIs often take years to be settled. Then again, it may be that whole "upcoming NC game deadline" at work again.
November 2009: Marcus Davis is seen driving around on a blown tire that's down to the rim, and apparently doesn't notice. He is pulled over and arrested for DWI and possession of a controlled substance. He is suspended for the Big XII CCG and NC, and is released from the team in the offseason. Davis has since transferred to Oregon.
January 2010: Brandon Collins (INCIDENT #2) is arrested for his involvement in an armed robbery in which he was the getaway driver. Collins asked a friend to buy drugs for him, and the friend ends up robbing the drug dealer. They abscond with the dealer's money and drugs, and are pulled over by an officer who finds the contraband. Collins posts $35,000 bond (yes, $35k) and is actually kicked off the team. Incredibly, these charges are dropped.
January 2010: Dan Buckner gets in an argument with his girlfriend in College Station. The police are called in, and Buckner is charged with criminal trespassing. He likely would have been okay with just this, but he decides to make the brilliant choice to resist arrest. Buckner has since transferred.
April 2010: Vondrell McGee is driving without his lights on and gets arrested for DWI. He blows a .125 and .126, well over the legal limit of .08. Mack suspended him for the Wyoming game, and the NCAA ruled him academically ineligible for the remainder of the season to effectively end his football career.
June 2010: Vince Young gets a citation following a fight in a Dallas strip club. Apparently he didn't take too kindly to someone giving the horns down, so there was an altercation, and Young decided to bail before the authorities arrive.
June 2010: Cedric Benson (INCIDENT #5) is arrested for a bar fight on 6th St with another patron. The bar staff separate them, and Benson shoves the manager of the bar and spits blood from a cut lip at a different bar employee. They escort Cedric out of the bar, but he tries to re-enter, and when prevented, he punches another bar employee.
July 2010: Chris Simms is pulled over. The cop smells ********* on him, and Simms is apparently high enough to admit he smoked pot earlier in the day. He is arrested for driving under the influence of drugs (with his pregnant wife with him in the car, no less) and refuses a urine test. He then misses his court hearing. Simms' lawyers make his friend the fall guy, and Simms is inexplicably acquitted.
August 2010: Rashad Bobino beats on a girl in public on 6th St. In a bit of instant karma, UFC fighter Roger Huerta happens to witness this, and doesn't take kindly to it. After a brief conversation about chivalry in which Bobino profoundly retorts by saying "F**k you, f**k these b*tches; I'll knock out any f**king b*tch I wanna f**king knock out....I'll knock your f**king b*tch ass out", he takes a swing at Huerta. Huerta KOs Bobino in a matter of seconds. Glorious. Watch the video here. http://www.tmz.com/2010/08/04/ex-ufc-star-in-blood y-street-fight-roger-huerta-austin-texas-video/
July 2011: Career criminal Cedric Benson (INCIDENT #6) is arrested yet again, this time for assault with bodily injury with family violence. Benson had two criminal cases against him at the same time, and pled no contest to both in exchange for a sentence of 20 days in jail (of which he served five), a $4,000 fine, an undisclosed amount of restitution to the victims, and 30 hours of community service.
August 2011: Christian Scott is arrested for assault with bodily injury, as he apparently attacked a woman who was trying to repossess his car . He pleads no contest and receives deferred adjudication and community service. Mack reinstated him to the team and sat him for the first three games of 2011.
January 2012: Eryon Barnett is arrested for public intoxication. Barnett later announces his intention to transfer.
February 2012: Calvin Howell is arrested for possession of *********. Howell announces his transfer shortly afterwards, which begs the question of if there was more at play here, given that Mack ha s allowed players to remain on the team with multiple weed arrests in the past.
May 2012: Kenny Vaccaro (INCIDENT #2), Eryon Barnett (INCIDENT #2), Alex Okafor, and Barrett Matthews get themselves in some trouble on 6th St and are asked to leave. They refuse, and get arrested. Barnett additionally gets charged with failing to identify himself. This is handled by mid-June, and Vaccaro, Okafor, and Matthews miss no snaps.
January 2013: Former player Russell Erxlaben is arrested again for defrauding investors via a ponzi scheme, as he had previously served time in a federal prison for fraud. This time, he is charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and securities fraud.
February 2013: Connor Brewer is arrested on charges of public intoxication and minor in possession of alcohol. He also is in possession of fake identification. He has missed no time.
March 2013: Cayleb Jones decides he isn't over his ex, and breaks the jaw of a UT tennis player that is dating her. He is suspended for the spring.
April 2013: Kendall Sanders gets a DWI in aggieland. It's a bad enough idea to even be in aggieland, and it's even worse if you decide to drink and drive as a UT player in aggieland. Mack says UT takes "a strong stance against drinking and driving" and then does nothing to Sanders.

KIRBY ENNIS, DL, Jr. (Feb. 1, 2013): disorderly conduct, discharge or display of a firearm, suspended. Junior at Texas A&M.

JOHNNY MANZIEL, QB, Fr. (June 29, 2012): possessing a fake driver's license, failure to identify himself, disorderly conduct by fighting. Sophomore and Heisman Trophy winner.

KYLE MANGAN, LB, Jr. (Aug. 7, 2011): disorderly conduct for fighting.

DAMONTRE MOORE, LB, Jr. (June 3, 2011): possession of less than two ounces of *********, suspended. Drafted by New York Giants in third round of 2013 NFL draft.

MATTHEW JOECKEL, QB, Fr. (Oct. 17, 2010): purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor.

All of the players I listed have been charged and plead to....how many of those Texas cases made it to court?

What' a funny thread. Never has a player caused so many Texas apologists so much grief. What could have been....

So, in the longhorn way, they will defend players like Ramonce Taylor, and others who were actually charged with crimes, while JFF has done nothing more than win the Heisman, make Mack look like the idiot he is, and be a college kid.

I know it hurts people like Old Tiger , that probably never even took an hour from UT, but Texas A & M is the show, everybody wants to see us. not you. Watch your pathetic LhN, while we are on National TV.

When Johnny wins his 2nd Heisman, just remember he wasn't good enough to play QB for Mack.

Here's where it gets interesting. He prob has had a few soda pops. Yu do know that 90% of college kids partake? And that may be low. You gonna call a kid bad for drinking a few adult beverages ? You do realize that you also calling the vast majority of college kids bad kids.

The rest Is all speculation. We have no idea if he was drunk the night before. The mannings denied that he was drunk.

Do I think he was drinking, yes! Who cares. I drank when I was 20 and I turned out just fine. Are you a bad person because you break the speed limit occasionally?

This is self righteous BS!

I agree that's he's probably got some growing up to do. Does that make him a bad person?

Oh, so he has to live a life of a monk ? What a load of crap.

You know what, maccarron was at the same bar as JM. You think AJ was having a soda pop? I'd be willing to bet my ass that AJ has had more than a few in his college career.

Unbelievable. I'm not saying he's a saint and hasn't made mistakes, but for gods sake, quit with the self righteous BS.

I bet you are someone who still think OJ did not committ murder years ago and Lance Armstrong is still not guilty of using drugs, how many excuses can you make up. Amazing.

One last thing , yes I drank at 20 (Which was legal) and you drank. The difference you and I are not Manziel, not even close and never will. You are comparing what you did and normal students , what you cannot see is Manziel is held to a higher standard weather he likes it or not and in my eyes he is pushing the limit of a normal student. You keep defending him and it will lead to bigger problems, just watch and see.

Casey paschall

Cam newton

McCoy and the other dude (forgot his name) that had the episode with the girl in the hotel

Korey Harris

Jenkins (tcu)

Is JM as bad a guy as these dudes?

Pachall was kicked out of school and told if he got his act together (rehab), he could re-enroll and possibly play again.
Cam Newton played in the SEC. Evidently it doesn't matter there if his dad rec'd $180k for his year at Auburn.

I know I am not alum Longhorn and I am just fine with that. I know Aggies are quick to say I have no argument because I didn't even go to UT, but here's the deal. I am a fan of all Things Texas (state of Texas). I like to see all Texas teams do well. I am glad that TAMU had a great season and I hope they take over the SEC. Yeah right, your kid would never do any of that silly party stuff.

And I'll tell you something, youre right, the laws are much tougher on these kids today than when we were in school. Back in the day, the cops would tell you to pour out your beer and go home. Ha! Here's your post.

Old Timers??? LOL, I'm 33. I was just raised by parents that didn't take me to casinos underage, buy me beer underage, or not hold me accountable for my actions even at 20 years old. The worst punishment I ever rec'd in my life was my dad telling me he was "disappointed in me". That was far worse than any whooping he ever gave me.

How is that not aimed at the Menziel family?

Yes, all parents should hope that their kids grow up to be just like Johnny, free education, win a Hesiman, party all you want , do whatever you want, listen to no one because you can. That's what makes this world so great, just like the 60's. It's been fun.

He is just doing what any normal Hesiman winning football player would do, having fun and playing some drinking games even though he is a minor. It is not his fault he is famous, so he can do whatever he wants to do because he is Johnny Football. He is not a role model for younger kid, he is just being a kid now. So leave him alone, all he wants to do is play football and party hard. He has no problem, Mon.

Mandatory rehab for all college football players who have ever played a game of beer pong and/or smoked a joint would be te end of college football as you know it.

Again, it's obvious that te two of you never attended college.

4 out of 5 college students drink alcohol(including minors). 50% of those "binge drink"(you two would likely define those as alcoholics).

Is it ideal? No, but it is far from abnormal.

You're such a drama queen. You go to any Texas A&M message boards and read any of the pay boards (where non-trolls hang out) and there is zero talk about Johnny Manziel.

Why? Because the media fellating his every move, right or wrong. Why don't they report that he attends church every Sunday or makes up during the week when he misses? Why don't they report when he does his charity work with the elementary schools in BCS? Because that news doesn't increase viewership or readership.

Here's a note to any college student who happens be play for their collegiate football team:

Do not drink beer before you're 21. That is not the right decision. We know all of your friends do it, but that is irrepsonsible.

You're an idiot.

How about don't drink beer in public before you're 21.

How about don't drink beer in public.

Is a private house "public"?

What about when you're mother is sitting next to you? Other than hookanddumber, are you going to question her parenting?

Isn't this the guy that some on here were talking about how he represents his school with class?

Omg. He's got big tattoos and I think I saw a beer in the background.

You are missing the big picture here , chances of your kids or mine ever becoming as famous as Manziel are slim and none. Your kids and mine can get away with being as you and Mac would say normal college kids because they are not in the National spotlight, that is the part you guys and Manziel think is not fare to him. That is BS , weather he likes it or not he is held to a higher standard and it is up to him to make the right decisions. To each his own.
You are right, my kids are not famous. What I don't get is this, why is the standard different? Why is it ok to you that kids can drink and do drugs since they are not famous. You and OT do not have a problem with the fact that he parties, you have a problem with the fact that he is FAMOUS and parties! Now let's ask this question, who has the messed up family values now?

Kid is an idiot for driving drunk but he's not a heisman leader is he? He's competing for 3rd receiver position. Since then you won't hear much of him as far as that stuff goes.

This is OT's statement on a UT receiver who got busted for DWI. Kid is an idiot but its ok, he isn't a Heisman leader.

Proof is in black and white. And H&L says the same. Not mad that he parties, mad because he's famous!

PATHETIC!!!
