Weldon Wilson a Stephenville Sheriffs Deputy was involved in a bad car accident this afternoon. He is a friend of mine and I'd appreciate any prayers for him and his family.

An Erath County sheriff's deputy has been involved in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 108 near the "s" curve.
Sgt. Weldon Wilson has been taken by air ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
"He is responsive, but in a lot of pain," Sheriff Tommy Bryant said.
Wilson was on duty and on patrol when the accident occurred, Bryant said.
Wilson has been with the sheriff's office for five years. He served as a constable and a pre-trial release officer and now serves as a shift supervisor.
The driver in the other vehicle was reportedly taken by ambulance to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville.
Bryant said DPS is sending in a re-creation team and Highway 108 will be slow going for hours.
