Palestine will be building off of back to back 7-4 seasons. Returning 7 on both sides of the ball, the wildcats should be one of the most interesting dark horses of 2013.
It has been announced that Palestine will host 4a Jacksonville for the week 1 game of the week feature of My 21 out of Dallas.
Jacksonville will be led by Carter McCown, cousin of the 3 McCowns who all went D-1 from Jacksonville in the 90's and the two youngest brothers Luke and Josh both played in the NFL for several years.
Palestine lost to Carthage 30-27 last year in the first round of the playoffs in heartbreaking fashion. Palestine expects to be much improved, as the team is bringing back several key contributors. Biggest on the list is TCU commit Jarrell Owens a 6'3 235 running back/defensive end. Blocking up front for the Wildcats will be All State Lineman Brian Thlang a 6'2 290 commit to Louisiana Monroe. Ben Luckett a 6' 190 RB has taken in offers from Texas State and Lousiana Monroe and expects to get even more attention as the year goes.
All though those 3 receive the most attention, there are several others who will be key contributors to the Wildcats next year. Palestine is returning 7 first team all district selections.
Palestine will fly under the radar, but should be a team to look out for come November.
