Baseball Signals

Noticed this afternoon's game that LSU catcher wears a football-istic wristband.

He gets the signal from the coach, checks wrist, signals pitcher.

Makes me wonder why the base runners don't wear them also.

Does stuff like this upset the old timers???

Or is it something that needed to be done. I personally thought it was a good thing/interesting thing to see.

All of those years stepping in and out of the batters box worrying about missing a sign.

It is very common at the high school level for catchers to use them. Probably saw a dozen teams use them. I think I may have seen one team use them for hitting/base running too.
